I was wondering if anyone had a chance to weigh their TL on a State Certified Scale/Truck Weigh Station or similar and compare against the official Acura Curb Weight numbers for their given year and trim/model.

Interesting to know whether the official weight is accurate compared to so to speak, "real" weight of the car. The "wet" weight (all fluids and full tank of gas) sans the driver or whatever...

There seems to be some confusion about the manufacturer listed weights and what they actually include and don't include, some seem to list more weight then there really is for whatever reason This may not be the case with Acura but who knows...

For example, for my 2004 Acura TL AT Navi, Acura lists 3580 lbs curb weight in stock form? Now my car is far from stock but I'm still very curious as to it's heaviness and yes I have yet to weigh it, 4yrs into the ownership
My guess that it weighs quite a bit more, I have added a lot of equipment over the years haha!

I would guess that it would be accurate to around 20-50 pounds because the state needs the overweight money... Is the TL that heavy? Wow, I thought my MDX was a pig at 5970.

 

When I was at the drag stripe with my friends, there was a scale you could drive on. My 04 TL non Navi, was 3850 lbs. I had just over a half tank of gas and just me in the car.

 

I would like to know which side weighs more. The left or the right. Mainly the front. I suppose the rear is about equal between left and right sides
