Yes! It's a Christmas gift from my wife!

After two years of waiting to buy a BMW (330 or M3) I finally decided to check out the competion before pulling the trigger. Drove the A4, 325/330/M3, G35 AWD sedan, and for me there was no contest. They each had their strong points but for me the TL was easily the most well rounded (plus I simply couldn't justify the price of the M3). Kind of funny, I drove the TL back to back with a G35. The Infiniti dealer had an 05 TL on their lot and when I mentioned I was considering the TL, he wanted me drive them both so I could see how much better the G35 was (nice guy but bad move!). Even though my last two cars had been Acura's I hadn't considered another one due to the (IMO) bland styling of the last few years.

Soooooo, anyway, 05 Navi AT, Anthracite/Quartz. Finished production today and schedueld for delivery by the 31st. I'm not sure they're going to make the date though...seems pretty quick to get cross country this time of year.

I've only got a short time left to decide if I want to "upgrade" to Acura 18's and lip spoiler prior to delivery. My dealer has a couple in stock with this combination and I really like the looks of it. Normally I would't spend the money on something like wheels, but for a car of this caliber I think the factory wheels are really lacking in appearance. IMO this factory combo adds just the right appearance of sportiness while still being understated.

Sorry for the long post, it's my first one; glad I found this great forum!

Counting the days!!!

Right Choice

I think you made the right choice. After owning 99 and 02-TL, I can tell how improved the 05-TL is both in style, in gadgets and in performance. I have enjoyed the car in the two weeks that I have owned it. Just got my bluetooth hooked up so I am now talking handsfree when I drive. Bought 10 DVD-A so I am surrounded by beautiful music when I drive.

Thanks everyone, glad to be here. Yes, another one from Washington - although down here I think we're considered a suburb of Portland

Tommy, I agree 100%. I'm pretty picky about A/V gear and, although I would never buy a car based solely on the audio system, I was completely blown away by the TL sound system. Not what one would normally expect from factory sound. I might have wait awhile on the Bluetooth. I'm with Verizon and $420 for the V710 is a tough pill to swallow. Plus my wife would want one also, so close to $1000 for new phones; I'm going to wait and see what comes down the road in the next few months.

Thanks again,

Jeff

Bluetooth Phone

I will never pay that kind of money for a new phone even with bluetooth. I got a brand new Sony Ericsson T637 from E-Bay for $120. Then I paid $20 to have it unlocked because it was set up for another network. :padlock:

jled,
the dealer can always get them later if you desire.

i like LL spoiler over wing. the a-spec rims are ok, but for that dealer cost i would buy aftermarket off the web.

nice xmas- gift,
congrats

cvajs,

I never even considered the wing spoiler, it just doesn't look right at all on the car. The lip spoiler alters the rear line of the car just enough. I agree the Acura wheels are way overpriced, but I haven't found anything else I like as much as the grey looking (gunmetal?) 18" A-spec. They kind of remind me of the BMW M wheels. Maybe that's why I like them?

BTW, anyone know if it is normal for them to keep the factory 17's at the time of swap? The list price on the wheels w/tires (Falken FK451 235/40Z) is $2395. Overpriced I know, but that price was assuming they kept the original wheels/tires. They want to charge me another $600 to keep the factory setup!

I know an aftermarket shop wouldn't assume they were keeping the wheels/tires you drove in on. Anyone have a similar experience?

Thanks
