Picked up my car March 17 so I was supposed to have XM through mid-June, but in the middle of a ride this morning I lost all my stations. Now I only have the preview. Anyone else have this happen? I guess I'll give them a call before I get in the car next ride so they can re-activate.

Hi Babe, just give them a call. When my 3 mths were up I put my HFL to work and got my service back in minutes.

This happened to me also, just call them and they will ask for your radio id and re-activate it for you. I got a full 3 mths from the re-activation date.

I paid XM Radio in March and they keep sending me bills. I called them and they claim that they never received my check. I called the bank and I got proof that they cashed my check. So anyways, XM radio gave me a fax number to send proof of the cashed check which I had to pay $6.00 for and I faxed it over to them. They siad it will take 6 weeks to straighten it out through their billing dept. In the mean time XM aint working and im so pissed off! They better give me some free months for this because their accounting department is terrible!

For those of you who had the XM 3 month problem (mine is still working, although it's not much of a test since I picked it up yesterday), I wonder if the car was on the lot and they activated it when they originally prepped it a couple months before you bought it?

For those of you that have had their XM turned off or chosen to not pay for the service after 3 months what is the preview feature? I hear you get 5 stations for lifetime. Do you get to choose which 5 you want?

XM rotates the channels on a weekly basis.

I hope the dealer paid for it, because it's supposed to include three months for free. That's from the factory, not at the discretion of the dealer.

By the way, I've been quite pleased with the XM service so far. I live in northern NJ (metro NYC) and I've so far found only one spot where the signal dropped out for a brief period. I actually thought it would be much more of a problem. Granted, I've had the car 2 days and haven't gone too far, but so far it's great!

he's right, babe. they can activate that stuff pretty much instantly unless your dealer screwed something up and activated early, then you need to get your dealer to sort it.
