where is the xm antenna located?
I have tints and heard that this could affect the signal, no problem yet.
Is there a way to and an additional antenna for better signal?

the gps antenna is in the rear deck where the speakers are on the passenger side. if you put metalic tint your navi could be affected by it. also some the lines on the rear window are part of your radio antenna. metallic tint can interfere with radio stations as well. so to sum it up, skip the metal tint.

Why would metallic tint alter the FM antenna reception when the tint is put on below the antenna ??

 

I would suspect because the metal-on-metal contact would change the effective wavelength of the antenna.
