WTF just happen to my car X2

I was sitting in the car with my son, listening to the radio with the engine off and the NAV screen on. After about 30min, my boy sat up in his seat and at the same the time the NAV screen started to flicker (he then sat back down thinking it was something he did, kinda like adjusting the old rabbit ears for those that remember). Anyway, we then turned off the car fully. We then tried to turn the car back on and it felt like, no it wouldnt turnover until the third try. I quickly called the dealer and got my sales guy and told him WTF was going on, he asked acouple a questions and assured me that its just the battery and that it would recharge in about 5-10min. He said using the NAV screen while the engine is not running drains the battery quickly, and that was our issue. Sure enough after leaving our meeting and coming back, the car started fine. Just thought i would pass this and see if anyone knew of this or have had the same?

It's weird, I was always told by my parents to never play the radio when the engine is off or the battery will die. This stuck with me and never had any problems.

If you're going to play the radio/play with Navi while the engine is off, you should consider carrying a portable battery charger just in case.

usually when that happens it means your battery is not holding full charge or it has a dead battery cell! i never had that problem until my battery was loosing cca's they should have replaced the battery instead of just charging it

my battery died after about 10 months...i guess that might have been the problem...i usually wash the car once a week and when i do i usually listen to the stero...i will have to check, but next time i will be sure to start doing that without the screen on....

i was able to take my dead battery in and the dealer gave me a new one under warranty...the new one has a 100 month warranty on it....

acura batteries are not very good OR something in the wiring of the cars is not good for the batteries. I'm on my 2nd one in 3 years.

Acura batteries aren't the best, using them like you did will kill em within 10 months or so. I use my sparingly, like NO HID's with car off, etc. I have had my oem replacement for about 1.5 years and its starting to go...

yea the stock batteries suck. mine lasted almost 3 years and i replaced it with an awesome optima red top which is worth the money. sometimes i'm gone for 2 weeks at a time and it starts right up with no hesitation.
