Wtf?

I just got back home and was looking at my back seats and roof vibrating from the new 12 inch alpine type-X sub i got.

Last night, i tuned the sub down since it was so powerful that it gave me a bad headache and made me feel sick. I guess i had it tuned up ot hit too hard. So today while looking in the back i see this...

Im assuming my sub had a role in doing this...i have no idea why else it would happen. What are these? Sensors? Is it safe ot jsut push them back in? I was afriad to try it from the fear of having an airbag explode in my face.

Not sure how that happened, but take it from an old guy - save your hearing and turn it down a few notches. No telling what else you'll vibrate loose. But it is a good way to test for vibrations in your vehicle.

Just pop them back in...they're just pins, not sensors or anything.

Those can be pushed back in.... that's the C Pillar cap, you have to remove that to take the C Pillar trim off.... so your safe..

Crank that thing back up, maybe you can trigger the airbags to go off!

One way to REALLY impress your friends!

Have you noticed the vibration creating any new rattles? Conversely, has it fixed any?

did u install your system? if not...maybe the installers forgot to pop them back in, or didn't pop them in far enough and they came loose again factoring in the extreme bass

My entire car vibrates. I was looking the the rear deck and saw a part of my car moving... coming from the top back brake light where the material of the ceiling and the back glass meet. is this where the infamous rear deck rattle may really be from? i actually saw the enitre back top piece flapping loosely each time the bass would hit.

Im not sure if i have rattles...if i do, i prob cant hear it. But i do remember my stock sub making a rattling sound as if it was blown...dont hear that pos anymore.

I really dont have any rattles...only "vibrations." The onyl rattle i do get is from the rear seats when the bass is high...looks like i might have to re-tighten the back seats

If it's not the airbags that would trigger, I am sure that any of the local stereo thieves in his area noticed his ride!!! He is probably on their next hit list, not that I wish it to him, but if you advertize it, you better be prepared to loose it!

I've owned loud stereos for about 15 years and my hearing is fukt. If i go anywhere thats too quiet the perpetual ringing starts to drive me insane. Though I think the mids/tweets do more damage to hearing than subs.

Loud stereo does come in handy in South Phoenix when I pull up next to an "undocumented migrant" blasting mariachi music at a light.

Wow! A headache, vibrating car, AND a sick feeling. Who could ask for anything more. Keep the volume up! Just keep asking "what?" when anyone says anything to you, and get some estimates on hearing aids now.

It's called Tinnitus. I have it from being dumb with my sound systems from way back in high school and college. I'm 31 now and still have ringing.. and I haven't had a really loud stereo for the past 6 years.

Check this out: Tinnitus

and this: Tinnitus 2
