Ok I had my sideview mirror replaced on my passenger side because the heating element was not working. The acura dealer installed it but it does not look the same as the drivers side (different profile than the housing) and the "Objects are Closer than they appear" letters look rusted (kinda brownish in spots). I dont remember what the old mirror looked like.

Can someone please confirm or deny this on there TL?

Also shouldn't the mirror go back to it's original position when you push the memory button, mine did not.

Are you sure the mirror isn't angled in the housing so much that it simply appears to be the wrong shape? Also, did you remember to store your memory positions again after getting the car back? It's hard to believe they would have used the wrong part or didn't wire it up correctly, but I guess it's possible.

 

Im sure. I guess it's different, Im going to the acura dealer and look at some cars to see if there is any difference. If not than my question is answered.

What about the "rusty" lettering? Do you have this or is it all white?
