Talking Would I be...

Would I be a complete douche bag or just a partial douche bag if i put the a-spec badging on now even if the car has not been a-speced yet (even tho i plan on putting in all the a-spec stuff in the future...OH and i will have at least the a-spec body kit on first)? or shall i just wait til its complete? just curious ( wording in this post is meant to be humorous although the question is a serious question...)

it really doesn't, i was just curious what people thought of that....didn't know if people were fanatic about badges being put on a car like the a-spec badge if the car isn't a-spec or an STi badge on a wrx if the wrx isn't the STi version....i know there are people that are like that ...

i could actually live with partial douche bag...
i was thinking about ordering the badge when i order the kit and having it put on
and then some time in the near future have the suspension and steering wheel installed, not a big fan of the rims so i'd get after market ones...

Yeah, I have a full A-Spec except I don't have the badge. And yes I wasn't feeling the rims anymore

That would be FULL DOUCHE BAG!.........IMHO, I think you should debadge the car and never put the a-spec badge on even if it is full a-spec. only people who know what is up know what a-spec indicates and these are the same people who would know that it was not a-spec, and only badged as such, they would be more respectful if they knew that it was a-spec, but you left it anonymous.

It's your car so do whatever you want. I personally laugh at people that rebadge their car or put badges or stickers on their car for stuff they do or don't have. I personally think badges and stickers are total high school, but like I said it's your car. You can do what you want to it, but people that really know the car will know you're a poser.

Example: In my gym parking lot I see a Audi A4 1.8t with S4 badges on it. I can tell from a mile away that it's a 1.8t. Makes me laugh when I see it.

You're a bloody douche bag for asking AZ for permission to do something to your own car.

I do the same, my buddy bought a wrx with an sti badge that the previous owner puton...and its the base model wrx, the lowest you can get

i guess i wanted to know if it was premature to put the badge on before the ALL or any aspec stuff was on there...... quick question tho...if i have all of the "a-spec" parts installed except for 1 (the rims) is it still a-spec or no?

Personally I would keep it real. Pretty much the only thing you need to qualify as aspec is the suspension, most else is fluff. If you can ride around with aspec badges without feeling pretentious, then hey, knock your socks off. Some people like the emblems. A lot of people here will tell you strip everything regardless of what you have.

I say do whatever gives you a warm fuzzy, and to hell with what anybody else thinks.

i know you asked us, but for real.. its your own car do anything you want to it. put a nos sticker, make your own intake, remove one wheel nut, paint your calipers.. put on a supercharger, mod your supercharger kit.. i hate people who want to copy someone else just because its cool. be your own self and make yourself happy.. hehe..
be happy...

IMO if anyone actually puts an a-spec badge on, then you are a douche bag. If it comes stock, then thats a different story. Even if you were to upgrade on your own to a complete A-spec, i'd still think you were a douch bag if you put the badge on.

pair it with a hybrid badge from a Civic or Accord... At least then you could drive in the HOV/carpool lane.

You wouldn't be a complete douche bag or a partial douche bag. You'd just be a poser. If you're comfortable with people thinking you're a poser then go ahead.

Most people on the road wouldn't know the difference. But Acura TL drivers would know that you're driving a fake A-SPEC TL. If I see you on the road, I would just laugh thinking "who is this douche bag kidding". Then again, do you really care if I laugh at you or not.

Do what you feel like

Partial douche bag. If the kit isn't fully on, you're posing, even if it is just premature.

Honestly, just wait a bit, then put it on once the kit's fully on (rims excluded if you have better ones, of course). If you're gonna badge, ya have to have the patience to wait for the full deal.

Just my .

I wonder if you could put the Aspec badging on, then trade it in, would you get more for it?

When I first went to look at TL's it was going to be a used one, the advertise a '04 Aspec, but it only had a body-kit. No Wheels, no suspension. And they were charging a couple extra thou for it.

I have to say do whatever you want, its your ride. but IMO your would fall under the partial douche bag. Being that you dont have the Kit on but you do plan on to install it. But when you have the badge and no " A-spec kit " then you are a full douche bag. Thats just me I dont like it when people just but on stickers or badges on for the sake of putting them on. Then again its a known fact its +5 horsepower gain per sticker and +10 horsepower gain per badge. On a side note the funniest thing i saw was a few years back when I say an Ford F-150 with the " Power by V-Tech " sticker I busted out laughing! Anyways at the end of the day its what you want to do.

The seller for sure. If somebody buys it knowing its fake, they're just dumb. If they dont know its fake, they're getting tricked and ripped off. The seller is scum regardless.

just get the badge and put 'coming soon' under it.

I won't laugh at you if you do that, cuz that will clear up alot for anyone who sees it.

I say don't put it on at all, but that is me.. I don't like any badges.. The only reason the A in the center of the trunk is there on mine is because of the stupid alignment holes that Honda/Acura use.. I have even debadged my wifes Odyssey...
