Talking New to Me, and I Bet You Guys Also... Acura is Amazing! (A.K.A. How I Got Owned)

So my boss wants me to find him something for under $3000, since he's put over $200 in his car the past week. So I go autotrader to find him something when this caught my eye...

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...3000&cardist=7

a 5 cylinder... hmm... possibly new technology? No it couldn't be... its ancient car. So I decded to call:

Sales: Thank you for calling xxxxxxx, how may I help you?
Me: Hi, yes... I'm calling to inquire on the 5-cylinder TL.
Sales: Yes, we still have it!
Me: Oh great. What can you tell me about this 5-cylinder engne? Does it get good gas mileage?
Sales: Yes sir, about the same as the 4-cylinder.
Me: Ohh really? Thats great! So is that a flat-five, inline-five, or a V5?
Sales: Its a V5, sir.
Me: (this was where I couldn't take it and I began to ) Do you know what you are talking about?
Sales: Yes sir!
Me: Have a nice day

Did this on spaker phone with the boss, we got a couple good laughs. Just thought I'd share with you guys.

Fucking noobs...

Yes Virginia, there is a 5 cylinder Acura TL...

Here's Travis' TL from a local meet:

count the spark plug wires

So, it isn't a v5, it's an I5...

Yeah its an inline 5...not sure there is such a thing as a V5.

But we all know the poster thought Acura never had a 5cyl before.

Whats worse in my mind is that the OP would think it's funny and waste his own time to take a sales person to task for what could have been a typo and ultimately a misunderstanding. Mistaking a detail of a piece of shit used car nobody cares about is not at all uncommon.

Gm has one in production right now. I actually think it's a good match for their Colorado.
