Wood Trim on TL

I've seen pictures of the wood trim, and I want to know how much it costs.

The MSRP is $33,195 without Navi, $35,395 with Navi.

What PhilB means is that the wood trim comes standard with the Parchment and Camel interiors.

The dealership where I got mine had modified a 03 TL wood kit to match the 04. Not sure how, but it was in a grey interior and was grey wood trim, looked great. They wanted $795 for that extra.

Yep, what kind/color interior do you have G-Spec? I have the parchment which of course comes with wood grain, and it's not "cheap" looking either. I went with the Nighthawk black and had to choose between the black and siver interior or the parchment. I thought the black exterior and the parchment interior made the car really stand out.

I'm thinking about getting anthracite with camel interior, and i wanted more wood than just the little bit in the center console.

If you are talking about the add on wood dash kits, they range from $100 to about $300. to purchase the kit. They are a do-it-your-self type deal, but the dealer will get about twice that if he puts it on. I have done a kit on my wifes car - looked really good. I am thinking about a kit for my Quartz interior from either exoticwooddash.com or sherwooddash.com. They are not perfect but if you want a wood look they are not bad.

I've got a parchment interior and I purchased a kit from www.exoticwooddash.com for about $200. I put it on myself in less than an hour. Clean the area with rubbing alcohol and peel the piece off the backing and stick it to the interior. Very easily done.

Here's what the exoticwooddash.com basic kit did for my camel interior:

What is everyones opinion on installing the Over existing CF OEM wood kit from exoticwood dash? I am planning on getting medium burlwood; does anyone think that it would look tacky? And if after installation when tapping on the wood, would it feel cheap, hollow-like instead of the solid OEM feel when I tap on the wood paneling of my GS300?

Other option....

As many of you know and remember I was one of the first to add the wood kit to my interior. More importantly I also replaced my OEM CF pieces with the OEM plood pieces found in the lighter interior options. The over lay kit now offered would be an option to be considered vs. the route I chose. However, I like the look and feel of it being OEM. The cost for the OEM parts was about $300 and another $500 to install them by the dealer. You will not want to install these yourself. This enabled me to get the color combination I wanted, Anthracite/Quartz with the plood look vs. CF. If you would like additional information feel free to either PM or email me direct. Remember, it is your car, outfit it the way you want and like. Some will like it some will not, your's is the only opinion that counts.
