Wireless headset for your Bluetooth Phone

I have a Sony T-616 that works great with my TL, but wanted to add a headset for other times when away for the car. I was wondering what my fellow TL owners were using, and what they recommended. So please give me some suggestions, and mention features you like or that are missing, where you bought it, plus a ballpark price for the one you are using.

Thanks

Talking Jabra BT-200

I have had the Jabra BT-200 for over a year and a half now (one of the first to get one). It's the cool looking blue and silver one that has a little gel peice fitting into your ear. It also supports the "enhanced" BT featureset (Most do not). The enhanced feature set includes things like "hook flash". Hook flash is the ability to swap from one call to the next by simply tapping a button on the headset. It's what you use anytime you have call waiting. Most other people have to actually touch the phone to do this. It holds a pretty good charge for a BT headset (about 2 days). I had it because I was doing development work for my company originally. But it works great with my S56 and also supports the sony/erricson 610/616 phones with the same featureset (I know because I almost bought that one). Cost $69.00. Here's a link to there site. Check it out, I think you will LOVE IT! http://www.jabra.com/products/FreeSpeak_Bluetooth.htm

JABRA BT200...best headset on the market. I have tried at least 4 or 5 of them. This is the sleekest and most compact model and has the best reception.

Since you are in Miami, where did you get yours, and at what price?

I bought it about a year ago at radio shack for $90.

They may be cheaper now...

Thanks, I just checked with them, and they are $69 which is probably where I will buy it from. Ndabunka lists a website, and it looks like there is a 10 rebate also, so I think I'm going to try it out.

I spoke too soon, as that rebate seems to be for the beginning of this year and is expired.

You can get Jabra bt 200 for $40 on ebay. Also Amazon is giving these away for free with purchase T616, otherwise you can buy it for $79.

BE CAREFULL!!!

Not all Jabra's are the same guys!!!! Some are for SPECIFIC models of cell phones. ONLY the BT-200 will do what you want. Make certain you read the small print on the eBay ads otherwise you might just be bidding on a "Sprint only" version of the headset that would not work with your 616...Read up on Blue Tooth. The standards aren't so standard. The syncing processes can be complex. You should be able to buy a NEW BT200 for around $69 like I stated in my first post in this thread. Any less than that and your probably looking at a restricted version...

Thanks for the warning. I went to RS and they said it was $120.00:wow: , but they were referring to the version that works with non Bluetooth phones.

Apparently the BT-200 for our BT phone is $69.00, so I'll be buying one this week. The ebay option wouldn't work because I don't want to wait that long.
