Winter Windshield Fluid

Can anyone recommend a good windshield fluid for winter? My Windex is freezing in the nozzles. Can I just add some rubbing alcohol to the reservoir?

I just buy the regular whatever blue fluid from any store. I have never had a nozel freeze on me and it gets kinda chilly here in Chicago :-) My car sits in a cozy garage at night so not sure if that's where the issue is or not with sitting outside at night. In that case I dunno what would keep nozzles from freezing.

rain-ex makes a de-icer formula that is good for freezing temps. any autoparts store will have it.

I believe the cheap blue is good down to 0 and you're in NYC. No issues with the 15 degrees last week. I have some of the winter stuff sitting in the garage I never got around to putting in.

Did you really use Windex for your windshield washer fluid? or did you mean Rain-X? I don't think Windex is meant for that...

I have been using the orange Rain-X for as long as I can remember and I have never had issues with things freezing.

I have been using the Rain-X 2 in 1 for almost 10 years now and have been loyal to it.

Walmart sells them for 2.88 (just bought 2 gallons this evening), but they sometimes go on special for 2.50 or 5 for two deals.

Standard blue windshield washer fluid. It works well. If you are truly just using Windex then anything short of water will be better.

The $1.88 blue bottle from Wal-Mart works fine in Denver.

I use whatever the dealer puts in it or else just the blue stuff from 7-11. Never heard of anyone using WINDEX in their washer reservoirs however.
