Windshield Wiper fluid notification?

Ran out of windshield wiper fluid last night.... obviously when i went to use it it was empty but now that its COMPLETELY empty theres no light on indicating that it needs to be refilled.. is this something that only newer TL's have or is mine just broken...

Coming from an A4 it told u every little problem there was (which were many )

thanks for the help

There's no Wiper Fluid notification.

There is one on Canadian TLs, though.

Not regular people; just former Audi owners.

I remember that ridiculous animation that my S4 gave me on my MID when it needed washer fluid. It was really annoying because it was a bright orange or yellow moving animation so your eye was constantly drawn to it, esp at night. I'm glad the TL does not have something similar.

I also had countless problems with my Audi but so far my TL has been flawless. You made a nice upgrade OP, now go get some washer fluid

I noticed that too. Just one of those things that you have to remember to top off every now and then.

Would be useful if you are using it for storing methanol

How do Canadian TL's have the warning light and ours don't?

At lease ours have the dipstick built in.

My old 2002 Pontiac Grand AM had the warning light. It was pretty helpful in winter because it told me it's about to run out of the fluid.

I remember it like it was yesterday

BEEEEEEP! *animated windshield on screen"

BEEEEEEP! *left low beam*

BEEEEEEP! *minimum oil level*

Every time i got in the car there was a beep very unappealing.

I don't miss that car and the 8000 i put into it to keep it running...

TL was such a better choice, don't amaze me in rain or sow in NJ but its good for what it is and maintenance is a breeze.

I wonder if newer TL's tell you about the washer fluid?

My brothers 06 Euro Passat has that and its extremely annoying. Everytime you turn on the car it just keeps beeping. I feel like the reason they have it in Canada and not the US is since they probably frequency use there fluid to de-ice their windshields.

I for one, am happy without another light on on my dashboard.

Be thankful you don't have it. Unfortunately I do and i would LOVE to disable it. As soon as it gets the slightest bit low the MID turns bright orange and keeps beeping. Every couple minutes it scrolls back to the bright orange notification and keeps beeping. Its so annoying. The only way to get rid of it is to fill up the washer fluid - you think they would have simply let you dismiss the message.
