Sidemarker Color

Is it worth it to attempt changing the sidemarker colors?

I see they light up amber and red but I was hoping to get them all to light up white.

Are there sidemarkers I can buy that will light up white?
I was looking at getting all smoked like the Type S.

Thanks!

Check your local vehicle code---it may require red in the rear and amber/white in the front. This is so other drivers can tell which direction your car is facing/travelling from the side.

They don't have user-replaceable bulbs---they are LEDs. Unless you are willing to cut them up and install your own LEDs, you're better off buying them in the color you want (like from uniquestyleracing). You can also search the 3G Garage for DIY threads on replacing the LEDs with either white LED units or switchbacks.

I thought it was just a LED bulb that can be replaced. What happens if one goes out ? You need the new housing?

Did you have to dremel anything? What DIY did you follow? And to get them off do can you pop them off from the outside or do you need to open the fender?

I have the USR sidemarkers on my car...

Personally I LOVE the white ones up front but I don't like the white in the rear. I'll be switching back to the red LEDs in the rear eventually.

USR costs $80. Not wasting $80 for sidemarkers...thats just stupid.

To update this thread. I got a set from someone on here for all white. I never got the front right sidemarker....I either lost it or it was never sent. I think the white in the back will look nice.

I hope this company will let me buy just one sidemarker because if I don't find one I will be forced to buy one for the front. I emailed them.
