Windshield replacement, installation issues!
So i opened a thread up before about going oem or aftermarket with my 08 tl. Well after geico wouldn't cover oem i went with a pinkleton windshield (aftermarket). The windshield itself is fine, but the guy that installed it put the side windshield moulding back on and in the middle it is slightly bent up about a 1/4 inch. You can see the yellow and blue clips. Also on the passenger side he must of hit the moulding and put 2 small dents in it. The moulding im talking about is the one that is on the left and right side of the windshield which protects water and runs all the way on the top of the car to the rear window. The installer came back out, said he'll do what he could to fix it, bent them down a little and threw puddy in there. Needless to say i can still see the clips on both sides when i look close. There suppose to come back out Thursday (the owner), what would you do?

if you're talking about the side molding of the windshield...it's the entire drip molding from the windshield to the rear window (the black trim piece along the roof to the rear window). as far as i know it is one piece and it isn't cheap. $110 EACH side.
your installer is lazy.

i have a crack in my windshield and looking to get mine replaced too.. i have liberty mutual, i'll look into whether they do OEM or not.. btw if anything happens, such as water leaking in or anything like that, they are liable, just tell them that it'd be unfortunate to have to see them again if it starts leaking
