Just in front of my eyes i can see a line about haff inch long, it's like if a plastic sheet between the glass was folded i find this in some other place in my windshield. Is it a common issue ?

It's not the common issue or the real defect, but there are some ppl getting the same problem before... If you SEARCH, you may see some old threads talking about this...

It's very difficult to take a picture because you can barely see it, it's a straight line. It's like if you tint your window and you don't stretch the film correctly, ie folded a bit.

very funny you mention the safety plastic in the windshield.

i noticed that it seems the safety plastic was not fully melted between the glass. you can notice what i mean at night by sitting in car and focusing at a neon light tube that is about 50 yards away, then as you keep your focus on the light you move your head slightly left or right and you'll see fringing of the light due to the safety plastic in the windshield.

i then did the same in my 2 toyota's and did not see the fringing.

i'm wondering if the glass was not baked long enough ????

The windshield has an additional layer between the glass to help lower the sound transmission through the windshield. Someone mentioned he tried it out by parking parallel to traffic and could hear the noise, and then parked facing the traffic and the noise was reduced considerably.

all laminated safety glass will sound quieter than singel pane glass. how do we know there is extra laminate in the windshield? maybe this is why i see that fringing??

YES, the laminate is different and more sound deadening than normal.

Can't see this problem, sounds rare. Let us know what the dealer says.

Good Lord, laminated windshields have been required for years. It has a plastic sheet inbetween the laminates to protect against shattering, as well as to provide the constrained resistance needed to contain the SRS (airbags). The windshield is actually a component of the SRS, which is why proper glas replacement (i.e. the adhesive) is important to maintain safety. Sounds like your windshield mfr goofed up.
