Window Visors or not?
Window Visors or not?
I'm drawn to the look of window visors on a TL but at the same time I like the look without. I'm wondering who here has them and who doesn't. Debating if I need them or not. Anyone want to flip the coin for me?
Nope IMO. iv had both the ebay ones which lasted only a few hours before I took them off. Then I got the OEM ones and had them on for a couple months and I sold them. I don't care for them on the TL. Much cleaner without.
I kinda dig the way the OEM visors look (aftermarket look like garbage IMO), but I feel like the window visors look is getting too played out. Same with black roofs. I may avoid buying them for that reason.
I say go for it though, they look great if your into that kind of thing, its kinda like the roof rack debate, its hate or love.

Definitely NOT!!! Window visors ruin the clean lines of the TL. The goal to have a clean car is not to slap on as much plastic protruding from your car as possible. Based on your post you would be doing these as a appearance modification and it seems like only on these forums do guys use window visors as an appearance mod. You don't see guys doing this mod to real bad ass cars, so why do it to the TL? Unless ofcourse your getting them for their real purpose because you like to have your windows cracked when it rains for whatever reason and you smoke or something lol.
Like stretched tires and slanted rims, I will never understand the visor as an appearance mod thing, just don't do it ;-)
Nooooooooooo. Haha
I can picture some sweet looking type s at a car show with nice wheels or something, but people are like daaaaamn, look at those amazing window visors. Not the kind of attention I would want to draw to my car.

"Function over form.... It's the jdm way". Lmfao Jk IMO I like them I bought my set after my friend got them on his car and I didn't have them. But I liked the look. My real reason is I like the crack the window when I drive but I hate getting wet in the rain. Ie function
I haven't installed them yet. I will in the spring since April showers are a major pain for me

lol I bought them for that reason aswell, cuz I hate how the windows get fogged up if all the windows are shut and I rarely use a/c, but of course no rain at all this year in southern califonia, haven't had a chance to use them
they serve a function which is why I purchased them. I like to drive with my window partially open and in the rain this keeps the water out of my lap.
I'm sure it also helps the smokers too.
as for looks,.....I'm inside my car, so I could care less what they look like when im traveling on I-78

James, it's all an opinion man, I think it looks better. Makes the windows look smaller and more aggressive.
Living in FL, I occasionally lower the windows to keep it a little cooler inside. I do use them.
Yes sir!

if you have your window down yes, they don't prevent wind from going into the car they just keep rain from dripping inside while the window is cracked, if the window is more than say 1/4 of the way down water will still get inside
Yes, it won't stop wind noise with the window down. I don't notice any additional noise with the windows up. I like em especially because I can crack my windows when it is hot and it keeps the car a bit cooler. Unless someone really looks they cant tell they're down.
