Window visor install.

Got some new visors for my wifes TL for X-mas, installed them yesterday, didnt realize what pia they where to install? kind of tricky getting trhe 3m tape off and getting the clips on?
I actually scratched the door frame a liitle bit where the clips go on i was trying to be carefull but got a little frustrated. Anyone else scratch theres during install? i guess as long as i never remove them youll never notice? They look sweet though, wifey was really happy

Did you follow the directions that came along with the visors? The trick is taking a little bit of the red covering on the 3m tape off so you have a tongue Of it sticking out when you clip them in place. Once everything is in place and clipped in, then you remove the rest of the red covering of the 3m tape them press firmly so they stick to the window. The only problem I had was getting the window gaskets back in place.

the werent that much of a pita for me..
the tricky part is, you have to take the tape off AFTER you clip it on..
so basically, all you would need to do is make a little flap where you can pull off the tape-backing.. install visors with the clips.. then pull the tape off one by one.. took me about 15 minutes to install all 4.

edit: AMUA6 beat me to the punch.

Yeah i followed directions to the letter on the first set, placing a piece of tape on the red 3m tape, but it would come apart so i just peeled some of the red tape to have something to grab on! but at times while i was fitting, it would stick to the door frame making it a pita to adjust!

They weren't to bad for me to install. I did put a little scratch on the door during the install but like stated before, no one will ever see the scratch...

Seems like the scratching is almost unavoidable with the metal clips??

You have to host them elsewhere. Then you use the "Insert Image" button which puts in the [IMG] tags for you.

I had the felt(the 2004 does not come with it,sctatches tint really bad) installed at a local tint place and the installer charged me 10.00 to install them for me.It took him 10 minutes. The only problem is that they are very delicate, I used the cleaning mop and it scratched the visors really bad.The best way to clean them is with a wet sponge.

Lol.. she might have an accident staring at them? man i hope she never reads this thread j/k
She really loves her TL, i wished she would of went for the Type S cause i wouldnt be worried about some of the future mods A-spec kit, rims, etc;... but it just wasnt in the cards at the time and shes more into the car looking good instead of performance. Regardless i have to say i enjoy the Hec.. out of driving that TL its confortable, handles nice and a pretty sexy car.

From: is everything.
My window visors came yesterday, installed in less than 20 minutes, very easy. When you stick the gasket back on, just put the upper lip in first and it's cake. I used a heatgun to get everything warm since I did it outside.
