Window Tinting help

my TL came with non-tinted windows (factory). i want to add a smoke tint (i'm guessing that's around the 15% tint??). what's the best type of tint and do i ask for mole skin to cover the window guides ??

thanks for any info.

well do you have navi? If you dont have navi then i suggest one of the tings made by llumar. Depends on if you want reflective or non reflective.

if you have navi, then you would want to use something that isnt metallic based, since it might interfere with the navigation. In personal experiences with my own pocket nav, I was able to lock onto 8 sats with my mettalic tint, but maybe Acura's is different.

Yes you want moleskin, but most places dont install it nor have they prb heard of it. They will say that they have installed tint on many TL's without a problem, but thats bull. If they dont do it, either find another place that will, or install the moleskin yourself. Its not that hard, if your arnt scared about taking the door pannels off the car.

If you decide not to go the moleskin route, if you do get scratches, they may not be that easy to see since you only want to get 15%

good luck with whatever you do

If you do decide to get the mole skin, make sure you have it before you tint.

Somtimes it takes a month to scratch and other times, only a couple days.
