are these things worth it or are they scams?

hey guys, im in hong kong right now and i just bought a car magazine. i started reading it and i found this interesting item. you will have to see for yourself. www.kuwano-jp.com ...i dont understand japanese either. its called the direct power system and they make one specially for vtec. since the magazine is in chinese i can read it. it says it helps the engine run smoother in the rpms below vtec so it will hit vtec faster. im sure there is some power gain, but im sure its around the same as the grounding kit we see on ebay.

they run for approx 170USD.

do you guys think its a scam or is it legit. this so called "box" is very popular in hong kong now.

I think it's probably working, vtec dunno, and you're right, it's similar to "grounding kit" we ever talking about... someone DIY it...

Not again!

From the minds that brought you The Tornado, magnetic fuel line "de fluxers", fire injectors, the 200mpg carb, and the flux capacitor, comes...the VTEC cable hoax!

Really, it makes more sense in Chinese, esp if you do not read Chinese, than it does in English. The voltage to the VTEC systems is probably - what - 5 VDC? Puh-leez!

People must be buying this stuff, because it just keeps popping up. I'm tired of bashing. I think it's time to come up with my own 'VTEC Enhancer (R)' and make some cash! -Patent Pending, of course.

Thx, I am sure that makes a difference. I can smell a carny in any language - it is like a cheap suit - it needs no introduction. Can't we get the Homeland Security guys to declare these foireign hoaxes and fradus terrorist plots?

Aegir: Go to S2KI.com and search on "Boar Mucous" - I invented it, but some of the other guys picked up on it and we had a blast with it - its wellspring was my head after hearing a Blue Emu oil remedy on AM radio. BM is the best lubricant for Hondas.
