Window decals on your TL

I saw a 04 TL on the NJ Turnpike last week. It had a AAA decal in the rear pax side window, and an American flag decal in the rear window.

Ok, if you're feeling patriotic then the flag is cool. But why the AAA decal? WHY?!?

Aside from the GD NJ inspection sticker all I have is a static-cling decal for local train station parking. If it wasn't necessary, I wouldn't have anything on my TL - it would be a decal virgin.

Some people don't get it... <sigh> Of course, I'm one to talk, I still have all my stock stickers on the car. But I've only had it a week and have a 10 week old to deal with, so I feel I'm forgiven.

I know what you mean, actually i don't even use my school parking decal, i just stick in the windshield, and put it in the glove box when I am done.

In Canada the CAA decal is seen on a few vehicles because when you get the program (my mom did) it tells you to stick the sticker on the window. It's supposedly if you forget your card that the tow truck driver can check your liscence plate with their database because he knows you're a member. I think it's BS and they just want to advertise.

CAA sticker is +10 Canadian HP. Which translates into like 6.8 American HP with a 1.5 HP exchange rate.

Just a word of warning....

When I first got my TL I thought that those brown racing stripes on the rear window were clashing with the Anthracite paint, so I removed them with an x-acto knife. Since that time, my AM/FM radio reception absolutely stinks and I can't get the fog off the rear window

Acura must have some new technology or something in those brown racing stripes. I've read the manual, but no luck. Every time I ask my dealer, they just smile and tell me they can't fix it.

Anyhow, be warned.

You should have kept those racing stripes. They pretty well match your ora... ah... camel interior.

The other day, I saw a brand new BMW 5 series with crooked American Flag on rear bumper, a "my kid's an honor student" next to the flag, also crooked, and some some other stupid bumper sticker that balanced it out on the other side...also crooked. Who are these people?? Anyone that would buy a $50,000 car, and allow such nonsense on their car doesn't deserve to own the car. I'm just glad it was a BMW and not a TL....proves that BMW drivers have more money than brains...most of them anyway!!

Looks like we each went to it - I see on their website there is one in Madison (which is where you prob. went, and I must have been at Bernardsville location)

HUGE selection of great wines.

Great selection of cheese's too - man, I spend way to much $$$ there. Nice thing is Gary himself is there a lot (when he's not on Bloomberg radio) and he's always happy to talk wine, etc. They recently instituted a discount shopper card - kind of like whatr the supermarkets give out that you keep on your keychain - it's good for saving some bucks.

Off off topic: the store used to be a Chevy dealership. I remember when there used to be Corvette's parked where the cheese displays now sit.

A guy by the name of Moose is at the Bernardsville store a lot. Very helful - really knows his wine and his way around the store. Yes, a lot of money has been dropped there for sure.
