Why the Mugen Kit needs to be released..

Everytime I look at the pictures of this body kit, I am able to hold off on getting the ronjon body kit as well as the OEM underbody kit. I don't care for the rear, but the front and sides are mine! I don't think these particular pictures have been posted, so this is not a repost. Check it out, alot nicer in the front w/ that grille they made.

I was just wondering when it would be out myself. All the talk about the grill reminded me. The grill on that thing is great. Nice pics Lokius, hadn't seen those yet. Wondering also about that exhaust, at least it would give us an alternative to Comptech's. Although Mugen stuff is usually pretty pricey. Kinda like the look of those tips. Different.

one of the few gripes i have with the 3G TL is the center of the front bumper where the acura symbol/license plate goes. i just dont like the way it looks. but man that mugen kit makes it look a bit better

the rear isnt a full bumper replacement, I think this is my decision for my body kit on my car.

OEM Side skirts
Mugen Front Kit
Ronjon Rear Kit

I dont know if I will keep this set-up, but I am getting the ronjon rear for sure..

well, at least ours looks aftermarket without being overdone, and see how that bar going across on the second pic is actuall one piece with the bumper? in order to make the grille look liek the Mugen, you have to cut that piece, and the front will never be stock again, so the grille can't be modified unless the bumper is changed:
(sides have already be modified to be like the last pic)

The front is hot but I want to see RonJon's kit completed first and real life pics of the RonJon kit on a car before I make my descision. The back of the Mugen kit throws me off because of the exhaust tips, i don't like. I'm also thinking the Mugen kit will be kinna expensive.

Ya, I also really like Mugen's Grille...I'm wondering how the OEM grille would look along with RonJon's front bumper? could anyone do a quick photochop on that so we all get an idea as to how it would look?

ronjon, if i don't care about permanently modifying my bumper, would they be able to put the mesh grille on there?

The only good thing on that Mugen vehicle is the grille, that body kit is absolutely ugly, Ronjon's is far better.

There might be a way around this. It looks like the bar is a bit recessed. So you leave the back bar in place but the trim bar in front is taken off. Only the Acura symbol is left so it kinda jumps out in front, like the mugen version.

Then all you need to do is find a way to hide the back bar. Very tight black mesh could do the trick if you painted the bar black.

Another option is to have a CTS-V like grill. I believe someone already showed a render of what that can look like.

Personally, I just want the bar around the Acura symbol gone! Hence why I really like the way Mugen did it.

I agree that the Mugen Grille is nice, but that's about it. That back bumper is . Anyway, RONJON ... keep working at that grille situation, there has to be a way around that bar. Keep me posted cause I will be one of the first in line to get it.

I dont know if I will keep this set-up, but I am getting the ronjon rear for sure..

When you go aftermarket, especially with imports, alot of guys will mismatch body kits from different designers on purpose. For instance the ronjon rear and mugen front flow well together, and appear to not have any design features that contrast. The Ronjon sides however, would stand out way to much with the Mugen front instead of the Ronjon front. I think, if you want to make it easy, you go Ronjon all the way. I just get the feeling that Ron is going to sell a ton of those body kits, which is great, I wish him the best, I want him to be successful. But my acura is going to be a little different then everybodys, if I pick from each kit seperatly, make it a unique JDM vehicle with volks haha

I like the grill. I dislike everything else. However, the front of the RonJon kit looks really cool. The rear bumper, hard to say right now. I'm wondering what Mugen's wing would look like with RonJon's rear bumper.

I dont know if this has been discussed yet, but one of the reasons why everyone likes the back of the ronjon kit, is because in all honesty it is a very fair reproduction of the A-Spec concept, some would say rip-off. I think it takes the best parts of the A-Spec concept and mixes them with a bit of practicality. Ron, go ahead you can use that phrase for marketing, i wont charge

Look for yourself, identical

Ronjon Rear

A-Spec Concept Rear

All together, the Ronjon rear and the Mugen front would look great together. The Mugen sides contrast to greatly with the rest of the car, and I don't like the openings on the Ronjon side skirts either. The OEM A-Spec side skirts are understated, and I believe would mesh the Mugen Front and Ronjon rear. Without a doubt, the oem side skirts are going on my vehicle..

i second that, even though it is mugen and serves a purpose. style is also an important part of a car, and that mugen front bumper = one shit faced TL. but the grill is awesome. i can't wait for the ronjon front bumper. that thing is tits.
