After joining your board, and quite a few test drives, I decided to get a TL. All I want is Black with quartz 6MT with HPT. I need the car by the end of feb, but none of the dealers in Phoenix will commit on the feb delivery. Can't they just order what I want, and I'll wait the 8 week build period? It seems If I were them and I know I'd have one more car sold when it arrived, I'd get it.
question 2: besides quartz, which interiors do NOT have wood in it. I think camel and ebony both do.

 

Ebony and Quart don't have wood...

Do you order Navi model? If yes, it may delay further, it could be the reason.



Also, if your dealer's Jan/Feb allocations are not having Black/Quart models or they have sold all of their available cars with the same combo to other ppl prior to you, you have to wait for their next available schedule. Since dealers always prepare some pre-order lists to Acura months ago, it's hard to just make an special order to their current allocations.

You may try to find your combo in another dealer, or ask your dealer to have a swap from other available dealers.

 

Ebony does not have wood. It has carbon fibre accents. Both Parchment and Camel have the wood accents. All of them have the aluminum trim.

 

Since when is gray considered quartz? What am I missing here?

You shouldn't have that much problems getting a 6sp, NBP, non-navi. Call around to other dealers. Or are you also seeking a NAVI in your car (It wasn't in your original post).

there are only three acura dealers in the greater phoenix area, I've contacted all of then. two even SAID they did a search of the western region with no luck.

 

Madison Avenue terminology. Mine is Anthracite Metallic with Quartz leather. Translation: Dark gray exterior with gray interior.

Go to acura.com and "build" your own TL with the various color choices. Here is the image they use for the quartz leather:

They have them in LA. Check with Dan from Keyes. Call Stevens Creek in San Jose. They had a black one in Fresno.

 

I apparently have to wait an 8 week build/delivery period (I hope). I ordered an Anthracite/Ebony w/6MT and Navi. The dealer seemed to indicate that it would be late Feb or early March for delivery.

I'm committed to the deal as I've signed paperwork. Which is OK for me I guess, but I'm ready for the car now!
