Likely no one likes it b/c we've all seen our cars with sideview mirrors.
Think of it this way. Say you had seen cars like this since you started driving, and then someone added sideview mirrors. You would think it was the ugliest/stupidest thing ever.
I'm saying, only reason we find it ugly, is b/c we're not used to it.

Very stream line looking. I wonder if you have to use the Navi as the monitor. I don't know about you, but I'd find myself looking at the cameras thinking I'm checking my mirrors......

"Something different?? Let's hate on it for no good reason" is will always be the general consensus. There is absolutely nothing off or ugly-looking about them. And I'm not one of those people who believes that everything from carbon fiber windshield wipers to L.E.D. license plate bolts are the new hot shyt. Color-matched, those would be on point. For the best part of a year, I've been on the mythical trail of the 'heard of, but never seen" power-folding side mirrors supposedly sold only in the Chinese market. If the trail turns cold (it hasn't even gotten warm yet), i'd cop these.
Trust me, wait a year to two years tops after Mercedes or BMW comes out with them and watch everyone's tune change.

One on the right for me
This idea been around for quite some time (well over 10 years). Looks much better on convertibles. It would take some time to get used to the adjustment (as the driver) but it makes sense with respect to blind spots, among other things.

It's a concept, some will like it some will not. It's the beauty of having an opinion.

Cadillac had these in 99 on its evoq concept. I thought they were cool. Also would have thought that someone would have picked up on them. So far I haven't seen anything else since except for this. I really want to drive a car with the cameras to see how weird it feels

Mirror delete, Whiper deletes, plain reckless..........SO is driving with Streched Tires, Super Dropped cars, and some of the flimsy rims we tend to put on the cars for the simple purpose of looks.

It isn't about quarter mile noob, these are not drag cars. It is simply better for gas mileage. Less wind resistance = better performance especially at higher speeds. This car is so aerodynamic that having a window cracked makes a difference. It looks good.

It's about safety.
These cameras are supposed to remove the blindspot.
Therefore, if you remember your driving classes, before you're changing lanes, you're supposed to look over ur shoulder to make sure there's no one in your blindspot.
That time that you've taken your eyes off the road is shown to be one of the most dangerous times for a driver (whether you do it or not is a difft. argument).
Having HUD camera angles removes the need to physcially check your blindspot and take your eyes off the road.
Thereby making driving safer for EVERYONE!.
(same reason they added a 3rd brake light to cars, b/c they were more at eye-level than the classic brake lights)
LoL. although with your lowered cars, who know's how true that is!.
So therefore, it actually IS logical

Look at the amt. of travel of your head/eyes.... Looking at the console SIGNIFICANTLY decreases the amt. of time your eyes are off the road... so yes, this is a possibility..
Keep in mind, that NOTHING will be perfect, but all these measures are put to minimize the issues which already exist.

If you look closely, i think it has a diffuser and a bit of amber in there for the blinker.
And what if we had the combination of mirrors and cameras.. .this will eliminate all possible blind spot.. or point cameras down strictly for parking... this way people don't curb those expensive rims.

if It were a sensor meant to warn the driver (audibly i guess) whenever there was an object in it's immediate or on-coming side, then it'd be going off 24/7. If it was a sensor that did something other than warn of possible side dangers, then the TL would be a death trap due to no side mirrors.
