as of today - 18 months and 1 day
~44,000 miles
just a couple warranty repairs: rattle on the sun roof and passenger door and heat shield with the "whistling noise"
EL42s BLEW out on me on the freeway. lucky i didn't hit anyone/anything. this happened around 27K miles
112 miles/day commute 95% freeway
i follow the MID religiously and only use 91 octane from shell, 76, mobil - nothing else
though i'm getting close to my warranty expiration, i love driving this car. was debating on using my civic as mon-fri car but i figured i'm paying for the car, i'm getting my money's worth. i'd love another TL, 6MT next time

One on the right for me
closing in on 32000, had the car since last july. the only problems that i have had (aside from having the el42 blow out on the freeway) have been with the cd player (stopped working, fixed under warranty) and the passenger side window regulator (window rolls down, then rolls up 2 inches, then rolls back down). warranty work has also included taking care of some paint issues. other than that everything has worked out perfect. i hit a skunk the other day so my car smells bad right now.

That's a lot of issues for 32,000 aside from the tire that is... for one year. The engine does not have to blow to say it is not that great. The car is only good for the sum of the parts. You're lucky you did not win the brake and rattle lottery as well.
All anoying issues that could happen again. Acura wants people to feel good about their cars and these are minor and so the car is perfect. So what happens the next 32,000 miles...

![Question](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Just want to find out how the car is holding up after all these miles inside and out? I have a '04 with close to 21k. Everything working fine accept the dash did got ashy and the 303 did made it look better. The seat/bolster is looking fine as I have been treating with leather conditioner maybe once a quarter.
Thanks,
Sam

i have about 33K..but i know Nitrotiger has about 70K and he beats the hell outta his car and its still mint. the interior is looking better than mine and i take care of mine. Could be because i have ebony and he has beige..the ebony shows alittle more wear. But his TL is holding up great and he puts down great power too and its very consistant.

I have 30,300 on mine, bought used but previous owner took mighty good care of it. Must have been garaged. Interior is holding up well, and the engine is still sounding sweet. I think that in the long run we will appreciate the TL versus a Lexus or Infiniti. Honda has always built a long lasting vehicle, with a little TLC!

I have only done oil changes every 7K,Trans fluid changes every 20K, air filters very 20k,Cabin Filter at 60K and front brakes at 95K. That is it.( I have done all my own service) I am on my 3rd set of tires including the OEM tires. 1st set was Pilots A/S. The 3rd set are Kumos.

67,000 miles and runs like a champ...with the supercharger. Average 22 MPG weekly.

Sam, the car is holding up very well and runs like it was new. No issues at all. I had the same dash board issue . I just used warm water with a gray towel( same color as the dash) and the white is gone.
I plan to run the car as long as possible( I would like to get 300K)
Hope this help

I am at 49.3k miles. I finally bought an Acuracare extended warranty...right at the last minute, because I'm planning on keeping the car a while longer. ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
mcmanut....I think 97k miles takes the cake. At the rate you're driving, you'll be at 250k miles at five years. Thanks for the vote of confidence in the 2004 TL, it makes me feel better as I drive further in mine.

Haha I'm amused by people who report how well the car is holding up at 30k miles. It IS a Honda product.. 30k miles isn't quite broken in yet. My 02 TL is at 63k and it's just getting broken in (unfortunately, the transmission is just getting "broken").
It's good to hear that the people with over 50k, 74k, and 97k aren't have real issues, though.

I don't think I have high mileage, but I have had my tranny replaced twice. I have 65k now and had 55k when the first tranny was replaced for a shudder between 3rd and 4th. The second tranny was done at 61k because of whining. The second tranny was never right from day one. It took 2 months of trips back to the dealer and a drive with district rep to finallly get them to replace it again. Now all is well.
