Any high mileage cars?
Just wondering for you third generations out there(especially 04 owners)
I am just curious to know, from you owners who do heavy miles, how many miles does your tl have on it, and what has been your repairs needed in this time if any.
Just trying to see what I can expect down the future when the miles start adding up. I do about 2000 miles a month(a lot in city traffic) and while this isnt extraordinary, It wil still mount up to 72000 miles in three years. I am hoping that after 72000 miles, the car will just be starting to "break in" by then. LOL
So list your mileage please. And whether its a at or mt. I have the at.
Thanks

Almost 15 months old - 22,000 miles. Memory Seat fixed, Tranny oil jet recall. Fixed headliner myself, rear door sticking out too far - fixed myself. Some occassional rattles here and there. Rear deck will vibrate under heavy bass load. Car is awesome. 28-30 MPG.
Tires have 6-7 left on them (Stock EL42's - original recipe ones)

Nope! You added an extra 0.
I've around 25K miles in 18 months on my 6MT.
Problems so far;
1. Seat Memorry issue - applied TSB and now fine
2. Brake squeling - applied TSB and now fine
3. One steering wheel rattle - fixed by dealer
Average: 24-29 depending on driving city or highway

Man, looks like I need to go back to Math 1....
In my defense I had just awoken from a nap. Still a good laugh.
BTW I have 33,000 miles and no mechanical issues. Just a flat tire and a few rattles that were fixed right after purchase. The car was built in Dec. 2003 and purchased in mid Jan. 2004.

Bears Rule!(Well, kinda')
28k miles in 15 months or so. Avg 23 mpg with city/hwy mix of about 60/40 (lots of starting and stopping due to job). Lots of trips to service to fix moon roof (broken tracks, stopped short of closing for no apparent reason, missing screws, etc). Also trips for broken clips on steering wheel airbag and to fix a plethora of rattles.
She was perfect for about two weeks after one trip to the service department -- not even a squeek on rough roads -- only to have them all come roaring back after I went over a set of railroad tracks in Gary, IN. (Slowly too, mind you...) After that, the symphony of pops and clicks returned and has new members running in and out on a regular basis.
Love the styling and materials, but growing to despise the build quality. Don't want to turn this into a b@$%-fest, but figured it should be noted that my late model 2004.

Wow! Glad to know that I'm not the only one who has put a lot of miles on their car in a short amount of time. LOL Since I'll be keeping this car forever, who cares about the mileage, right?
BTW, I have close to 2400 miles in 1 month (on July 4th it will be) of ownership. Most of those miles was my drive back from NJ (where I had gotten my car) to Atlanta. Only thing I've done to the car was change out the factory oil at 1400 miles with Amsoil synthetic oil. Next, I'll be changing the MTF when it reaches 10K. Also, my car has been trouble free thus far.

34,000 miles in 15 months
No major repairs
Minor issue with the windshield wiper fuse in the winter.
Replaced EL 42's with P-Zero's
At my next service I'm going to ask the dealer to replace driver's side seat; they look pretty bad for a car w/34k.
So far I'm satisfied with my purchase.
Peace

These have been the seat memory issue; flat line temp. readout issue (fixed with a navi. module replacement); HFL issues (had every part of the HFL system replaced including the steering column buttons); and now most recently in April with the daylight savings time change my system did not automatically update. My dealer ordered parts to repair this which took almost two months. My car is in the dealer since Wed. to repair this problem. Unfortunately the parts ordered didn't fix the problem. Thus they still have my car and a head engineer of the TL model group at corporate is working with them personally to get it fixed. I don't expect to see my car until midweek at the earliest. At least I have a loan car that is not a TSX, and being a 05 TL I get an opportunity to test drive the new Michelins vs. the P.O.S. Turanzas. So far I love the Michelins. Other than these items the car is flawless and a dream to drive.

I'm at about 31K with no current issues. Just returned from a 1200 mile roundtrip roadtrip (to northeast Nebraska from Denver), where I averaged about 31MPG. Did another roadtrip in my wife's MDX to Phoenix last week and only could make 21MPG.
Have had windshield replaced under warranty (cracked in car wash), fixed a rattle in the middle dashboard speaker myself. Brakes squealed from about 28-30K miles during certain stops, but it went away. Alignment remains perfect, Pilot Sports wearing nicely.
Going on about 20 months of ownership...purchased first TL Mac Churchill (Dallas) sold on 10/14/03. Truly like my TL more each day...hoping for an AWD version in the next couple of model years.

Nah . . . I think it's because they just love driving their cars so much that they'll find any excuse to take a long drive. LOL Shoot, I know I sure have thought about a nice long get away somewhere.
