I think it's because not a lot people want to get rid of their navi. Navi will always keep the higher resale.

Almost all the Navis are 6 speeds. There aren't very many around.

My neighbor is a private auto dealer (read "used car salesman") and buys tons of '99-'02 non-Navi Acuras from the DFW auction (which is listed above). He really wants to get some of the '04 TLs but he says they're going for way too much and that most of them are either repos or have had minor damage which has been fixed.

I don't fully agree with this (although I wish it was true).

Options are always depreciated much faster than the core automobile. Leather, upgraded stereo, summer/winter packages and big shiny rims have very little Blue Book (etc.) value - they just make the car easier to sell at the requested price.

However, it appears that the TL navigation now retains about $1000-$1200 after 42 months (at least on my lease). That's a lot higher than $100-$300 on my last car...

You have to think about it, It doesn't make sense. Why would anyone buy a non-navi when the navi costs just as much. That's BS.

As stated in the title. your actual mileage may vary can refer to all kinds of things like this topic. I find postings like this interesting but does not say much... resale value will be different based on any number of things even color... Color is one of the most important things and can impact the price so much! Like that bronze color they had. I was like WTF...

I recall saying to some friends, it looks like pete got the dealer special. I forget the color of the car exactly but you could probably spot it from 10k feet up lol...
