Lightbulb Who would win this race?

Hi I'm just a bit curious here but who would win? A 2005 acura tl 6spd or a 2008 subaru wrx hatchback?

You couldn't just look up the times on Google?

From what I've read I think a WRX would win but not by much.

Didn't know a bunch of "noobs" could own 50+ thousand dollar cars making 500+whp

The comment was completely ignorant, not everyone has a track that is near them.

So because there isn't a track near where you CHOSE to live, you race on public roads?

I hope you get your car impounded.

I'm guilty of it too...but much less frequently now that I'm older/more responsible. I've never even been to the track.

^^ with newer cars having data loggers, gps tagging, black boxes in general, a LOT less people go. They don't want to have their warranty and insurance voided, for doing something that IS safer and smarter. What a wonderful rule, right?

Anybody with the right sized checkbook can walk into a Ford dealer sign for $60k & drive out with a 663chp/562whp ShelbyMustang.

My friend did the Geico thing...had the recorder put in his car and drove like a granny (05 Mustang GT, modded, over 400 wheel HP)....saved him $6 on his six month policy. He's back to going by people sideways...

He's also that friend I mentioned that invested in a flip a plate remote activated device...

Why is roll racing 'gay?' Some areas have plenty of spots to dig race, some don't. Not everyone is willing to stop in the middle of the highway to do a dig run. There are opportunities, but it's much less common in some areas then a highway run.

Aside from being curious of the outcome, it's gets the adrenaline going! Love that feeling.

thats probably ever gonna happen...and roll racing is just a good way to see how your cars power and gearing is vs another car.

How did this turn into a philosophical debate...street racing is fun...it also can be dangerous if you're an ahole about when and how you do it.

Regular, 258hp TL 6MT gets you to 14.2~ 14.3 sec @ 99+ mph in the 1/4 mile stock. 14.59 can happen if you have a strong head wind and with full tank of gas you must be new.

Your Type S number is more spot on however, HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA WAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Might be able to beat WRX from high speed roll.

I raped an MS3 in my E30 the other day. The middle-aged black dude driving it gave me a big thumbs up, he was pretty surprised. I was surprised too, usually I see skinny, pathetic looking white gimps driving Mazdaspeed 3's.

Check out mazdaspeed3forum... there are plenty dudes out there. Most are modded though, only a few running around stock. Anyways, find one that lives nearby you and go for the run.

Most people (other than MS3 fanatics) get confused with "Mazda3". Both cars look very a like. I can't even tell the difference looking at various angles. You beat a Mazda3 is more realistic. Beating a "properly driven" "Mazdaspeed 3" is a tough task.

^ I don't want to run a stock MS3. And I'd rather not go on the forum asking for a run. Maybe the stock MS3 I beat was a Mazda 3 as well? Considering I'm putting down 256/222 and they put down what, 130? Lulz.

Check the vid of the RSX who pulled me just over a car running a modded MS3 and pulling 2+ cars with a passenger.

You can't compete against the modded MS3 with your modded Accord... which is why I recommend you race against the "bone stock" MS3 from roll. The mazda3 talk I brought up was for the other guy, not you. Insecure? lol

Check the vid of the RSX who pulled me just over a car running a modded MS3 and pulling 2+ cars with a passenger.
Was it a gen 1 MS3? They are slower than the gen 2 from high speed roll. Also, thought about the driver mod? lol!!

This is where I lol'd. When I say modded I'm not talking full bolt on/tune, I'm talking I/tune or something. Lightly modded. I know I can't compete with one that has bolt ons/tune. I should be putting down more to the wheels than the MS3 does to the crank in the next couple weeks though so I'm not really worried about a stock MS3 in the least...I really don't think a stock one could hang. I saw a modded one pulling 98-99 mph traps while I was pulling consistent 101-102. Just saying.

I did make a username on that forum btw. You can only view a couple threads before they block you if you aren't signed up. Not sure if I'm gonna post, but it's funny how they talk about Hondas.

It clearly said 'Mazdaspeed3' on the rear, had an exhaust with the typical turbo burble, and I could hear the turbo spool up. Also, you must be a shitty Mazda fanatic because I can tell whether it's a Mazdaspeed3 or just a Mazda 3 without seeing the rear badge. Hell, I can tell just by hearing it, the exhaust note is completely different, you can't even hear a stock Mazda3, and a Mazda3 with an exhaust doesn't have the same harmonics as a turbo MS3's exhaust.

Too heavy, too slow, and front wheel drive. Plus we went from a 1st gear roll, if I remember correctly those can't even put full power down in the first few gears. Fail.

You are an amusing little troll, but stupid nonetheless. Just like SRT4 and Cobalt SS kiddies, Mazdaspeed3 kiddies are typically idiots whose egos far outdo their car's performance or their driving ability.

It's common to have a bone stock MS3 beating the modded (light) MS3. It's called driver mod. MS3 does require more attention to shifting at the right RPM's.... many MS3 owners shift too late. Perhaps they play video games a lot.

I saw a modded one pulling 98-99 mph traps while I was pulling consistent 101-102. Just saying.
Once again the trap speed depends on the driver and what launch techniques they use. You can't put down good 0-60 or quarter mile times with the MS3...it's not the area where these cars shine. The gears are too short and require one additional gear to get to 60 or quarter mile.. MS3 doesn't shine from dig launches. It has to be done from roll, especially, high-speed rolls..... I said this like 1000 times... Got memory problems?

I did make a username on that forum btw. You can only view a couple threads before they block you if you aren't signed up. Not sure if I'm gonna post, but it's funny how they talk about Hondas.
They believe Hondas are fart cans and are very slow, which is true. Civic SI for example. Anyways, I don't own a MS3. I lied.

LOL!!
