Get onto Advance autos website and sign up for deals. They have deals all the time when you buy 5 quarts and a filter. Just a month ago, if I spent $100, they gave me $40 for a future visit on the website with free shipping and that also applied to any sales as well. I just stocked up on Mobile 1 and filters. I literally have like 30 quarts and 6 filters in my basement.

If you don't want to go the synthetic route, get Mobil Clean 5000 at Walmart. It's $11 for 5 quarts, and does suprisingly well on every UOA I have seen in many different applications. One of the better bargain dino oils out there, IMO.

I use Motorcraft Synthetic blend 5/20 and the Supertech 7317 filter. Both are available at Walmart for about $15 total including tax.

I'd personally never set foot in some shit place like wal-mart. Local auto shops usually have pretty decent deals.

I dont't think he's changing his oil everytime he buys it. It's good to stock up when you can get a good deal. Or he has more than one car.

I usually go to Advanced Auto. $29.99 for the Mobil 1 with filter I think is pretty good.

OMG! You mean I don't need to do it weekly?

I used to have a friend many years ago who changed his oil every thousand miles. I couldn't convince him otherwise. Then I met someone a couple of years later who never changed his oil... only the filter. He added oil when it got low. Too extremes and both were problematic.

As for my two purchases I mentioned? Two differ vehicles. My "other" 3G TL (the wife's) and my Ford Ranger pickup - which I just did a few hours ago. My '04 manual TL will be due for an oil change probably by the end of next month or early June.

I always buy the Pennzoil Platinum Sythetic 5 Quart Jug at Wal-Mart for like $19, and then I order Purolator Filters off of Amazon.
