Talked to the guys at Main St Stereo in Sayville Long Island...had some work done to my previous 01 explorer and the quality was outstanding...turns out they do body mods and such and I sat down and discussed my vision(or lack there-of). Very helpful guys and they have customized 05 Tls before. Thursday Im getting tints and DVD Conversion for Navi done...Ill let you know how they turn out...If you go in before that go ask for Bryan Ells and dont be afraid to ask for pics of there previous work...

Levyfresh, pics/prices/thoughts on the install after its done would be greatly appreciated. I want the DVD conversion and the tints.
Quick question, with the DVD conversion, the nav still works as a nav not just a tv right? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

i went there to main st. to price out the dvd conversion. it end up being much more expensive then where i got it done. i paid $700 for all the parts and labor. both main st. and the guy i went to use FM transmitters which kind of sucks but it seems to be the only option being that we have no aux. ports in our stock stereos. i got my tints done at main st. and i think they did a great job.
the guy i did my dvd conv. through is located in brooklyn. im kind of in a rush but i will find his card and post his info for you tonight if you havn;t already gotten the work done. but he is all over this website...if you check the navi, bluetooth, ect. section you will probably hear about him.

Check out Unique Auto Sport...they're in Holbrook. Probably going to be expensive because of their reputation but it's worth checking them out.

the guy who did my navi conversion is located in brooklyn at
812 McDonald Ave.
Brooklyn NY 11218
TEL. 718.851.4817
Moibile Electronics of NY
im actually considering going back there also, i might switch the dvd player i have now with a PS2 one of the little tiny ones. i think it would fit perfectly in the glove. but he did good work, and the price is fair. again i paid $700, this was about 6 months ago.
