To just move in and this 'problem' to occurre is way to much. In the world of investigations there is no just cawicident. Somebody know something around ur block that knees sombody or something like that I can feel it
Nobody targets people u might drive they a neighhood to get to yours I know for a fact u are closedto the theive or have seen him before sorry I write like shit I'm on my iphone

Ps. from looking at the pics...maybe if you get a pry bar and a rubber mallet you can hammer that piece of metal flush and then replace the clips for the sideskirt and you might not even be able to see the damage.
As far as where to get rims...
check out.
handaaccessories.com and probably the black market on here would be a good place to start. you can probably pick up some aspec or type s wheels with tires for less than a grand. or if insurance requires you to use an actual shop, have the dealership order whichever ones tickle your fancy and have insurance pay them directly!

yea the wheel locks are a must, looks like a nice residential area, so this means those who stole it aren't from around there
did the cops fingerprint that wheel/tire wedge under your car, did they fingerprint anything?
if not they should be, grand larceny is a felony... I'd def press this a bit further... most people who steal shit off cars don't want to get their hands dirty, but they would slip up and touch your car before they put the gloves on... I can bet there's a print on that tire...

The cost that the police department will incurr by forensics will far exceed the cost/value of the rims.
Therefore, they will not make an effort.

Of course u think there going to wait up them up at 6 o'clock in the morning for
Some sum sum ass kids wheels he'll no open and shut case they sit there write the report. Look at it for a couple of minute then go on to the next assingment if multipli rims were stolen then maybe. My friends boss had there tsx wheels jacked
They didn't give a shut until 5
civics with 5 lug pattern were stolen that's when they paid attension regardless unless u find the rims and can prove by a serial number or they are stamped with something you can verifi with your story then u got shit ecause the cops will not jumpthe gun because it really hurts to be wrong.

ADVANCE.
Damn bro, sorry to hear and see what happened to your car. Once you get all this stuff straightened out, trust that karma will come back and bite them in the ass. Hope you work everything out and your car gets back to the shape it was.
PEACE!

Damn man, thats crazy. I used to live in Boston, up until 2008. I parked my car all over the place, and never worried about my stock wheels being stolen, but damn. My friends cousin is a cop from Worcester P.D. I'll see if I can get in contact with him, and I'll toss a pm your way when I do. Maybe he can investigate this further. Until then, hope everything works out for you.

I wish I could get away with lowering my car but the roads around here would tear it up and the incline to get in my drive way wouldnt allow for the car to get any lower... It scrapes sometimes when I pull out as is.

HEY DON"T be MAD just look at this as some new after market rims and suspension. i have got my 95 integra stolen years back. i paid 5k for it and with some mods and pictures and recipes. the insurance total my car at 11k. i was pretty happy. and the insurance will give you alot of money for this like the full price for brand new oem wheels at acura. side skirts and the repairs. so that will leave you with enough money to get some after market rims. But at lease they left you the lug nuts.

You can check with your dealer to see if they have any take offs they'll sell to you for cheap. When someone buys a car, if they don't like the wheels, the dealers will swap them out and keep the other set. They take up space, and they will usually sell them off for a heavily discounted price.

Sorry to see this happening to a fellow acuraziner. Karma will get them due time.
Cops won't do shizzat unless you have witnesses or leads, it'll cost the city more $$ to investigate than just simply file a report these crimes are a dime a dozen, insurance shall take care of ya less deductible.
Hmmm to steal stockies is not practical to me unless I was going back to stock or TRADING in car that has expensive rims. Selling/trading car stock will yeld more $$ and selling aftermarket rims for more money.
Your best chance is to get aftermarket rims and be unique hard to sell aftermarket rims that are stolen peeps know whom it belongs to or see on. Stock sells fast and cheap.
Sorry for the loss, Good luck with everything.

At least it's just your car. Think about the fact that they could have broken into your house while you were there...then what?
A car is a car. That can be replaced. Not your life.

Were you the one got the deal for about $1800 on the Ebony Aspecs? I called last week and got quoted $2100. They wouldn't budge.

Yea I got A-spec Wheels, Yokohama tires, TPMS, center caps, lugs (thieves took my lug nuts), locks, and A-spec sideskirts for $2209. Ray did tell me that usually at the end of the month prices change, I asked for the prices on Brembos and he said that as long as I ordered before the end of the month he could honor the price.

Fuck man... I used to have wheel locks but had them removed because when I bought my TL (used) the previous owner misplaced the locking key and I didn't want to pay $56 for a new one, I figured no one would steal the stock rims. But now I may reconsider.

I once caught some kids stealing rims from a Nissan Murano in front of my home ( not my car )at around 2am. So I took my pistol and went outside and detained them until the cops arrived.
The irony of this. One of the kids involved in this theft was killed last week in a car accident running from police after attempting to steal a vehicle or the rims off of them.
Karma at its best.

man, just got a letter that one of the neighbors passed around, they tried to get the wheels of his 300 SRT8 last night, wheels locks prevented them from getting the wheels. He lives about 5 houses down from mine, I could bet my left eyeball it was the same jerkoffs that stole mine. This wheel theft shit is getting out of hand.

I spoke to him again yesterday and he actually didn't have locks, every lug was off the car but they didn't take the wheels, something must have spooked them. He took his wheels off and put the cars on bricks himself, he said it's embarassing but he is keeping his wheels LOL.

I'm not sure I understand!!
Oh...came out...bricks in place and jacked up and all lugs gone and he just put his rims into his garage until he gets locks is what you're saying?!!
Wow.
Stealing sucks...
About being in "danger"...on your property you can basically do as you please...you just can't shoot someone in the back as they retreat. As far as concealed weapon and pulling a gun elsewhere...the person would have to be able to harm you within reason. Meaning if they swing a machete at you from 15 feet away...you're not allowed to do anything until you're close enough to be hit.
IMO...better to lose rims then have to shoot someone and end up with that on your conscience. Even if you are legally justified. That's just me and I do have a gun and concealed carry permit.
That being said, if someone was stealing my rims and then started running at me with a machete...even if they were 30 feet away I'll do what I have to do.

When I was in college, we studied a bunch of cases like this... Like one woman who hung piano wire on her property because biker gangs used to harass her... (She lived in a house with a very long private driveway)... One day, one of the bikers drove up her private driveway, and decapitated himself on the piano wire... Needless to say, that woman went to jail.
In most states, (Texas being the exception) you need to demonstrate a fear for your own life, before deadly force is permissible. You can't just run out into your driveway shooting first and asking questions later with regards to someone trying to steal your car/wheels/etc.

^^^Definitely better put than the way I vocalized it.
Bottom line is that unless it's for my life or my gf/Mom/Sister. I'm walking away.
Ego gets us all in way too much trouble. Either in the gound or in prison. And in prison everyone has an ego. Not somewhere I want to end up.
