What are you paying at the pump?
With gas prices reaching new levels, it may be interesting to chart what everyone pays for premium unleaded gas. If it makes you feel any better, the USA still has some of the lowest gas prices in the world, except for the Middle East and parts of South America.

As of yesterday, the same station was up to $2.51. It's one of the more expensive ones around, so I don't normally go there, but it's the closest to my house and on Saturday morning my tank was really low. The general range I've observed in Northern Virginia (Fairfax County, Alexandria, and Arlington, anyway) tends to be from about $2.37 to $2.45 over the past week.

Cheapest is in NJ at $2.08 for 93 oct.
Expensive is in Calgary at $3.59 for 93 oct.
Milpitas CA at $2.87 for 91 oct.
BTW, Istanbul Turkey is $1.28 / litre
Shanghai China is $1.02 / litre

I wish someone could explain to me why when gas prices go up, they go up $0.10 to $0.15 at a time (or more), but when they go down, they drop by only a penny or two, and GRADUALLY work their way back down.
