As of yesterday, the same station was up to $2.51. It's one of the more expensive ones around, so I don't normally go there, but it's the closest to my house and on Saturday morning my tank was really low. The general range I've observed in Northern Virginia (Fairfax County, Alexandria, and Arlington, anyway) tends to be from about $2.37 to $2.45 over the past week.

I will not be surprised if at the end of the 2005 we will pay around 3.50-4.00 per gallon. I am watching world news and I say it is 70% that it will happen.

 

It's called tax Mike. Taxes are the price we pay for civilization. Canada is clearly about 50% more civilized than we are.

Expensive is in Calgary at $3.59 for 93 oct.
Milpitas CA at $2.87 for 91 oct.

BTW, Istanbul Turkey is $1.28 / litre
Shanghai China is $1.02 / litre

 

Commute to NJ everyday from Philly make sure I don't leave the state without filling up

I wish someone could explain to me why when gas prices go up, they go up $0.10 to $0.15 at a time (or more), but when they go down, they drop by only a penny or two, and GRADUALLY work their way back down.
