Question Is this what you all refer to as a A-Spec body kit?

Sorry for the newb question.....saw this and was wondering if this is the same kit the dealer installs as a A-Spec body kit?

http://www.hondacuraworld.com/Mercha...egory_Code=ATL

Also wondering if this is a DIY project to install or are "special" tools required...I'm very mechanically/technically proficient but when a job requires tools that end up costing more than the kit, I'd be prone to just having a quality body shop do the install.

Thanks in advance for any help answering my q's

No special tools.

you ned to drill a couple holes; 10mm socket or wrench, couple of screw drivers. Maybe a little 2-sided tape to supplement what comes on the kit.

Not much more than that.

OH! .... an extra pair of hands to help handle/fit the pieces is nice.

lmao....knew where you were going with that one MB(but I did hesitate for a split second )

I just gotta convince myself that the RJ kit is just a bit much(price and looks; a bit excessive for me anyways). I'm more a "subtle sleeper" kind of guy

Thanks for all the replies AZ'ers... now I gotta decide what suspension and shoes are going on her. I never have been able to leave ANYTHING stock!

Depending on your budget, Tein FLEX with EDFC is a sick setup. I've gotten a few rides in TrevorT's TL-S and it handles like it's on rails with the Progress RSB. I can also personally vouch for the EDFC setup, I had it on my old STi and it was the perfect balance between daily comfort and aggressive stiffness... because you can control it! Probably the best coilover setup I've ever ridden in / used.

I was thinking Tein FLEX with EDFC for suspenders but am hoping that Mr. Heeltoe comes up with a strut tower brace that'll retrofit for the EDFC...I understand many have been waiting for that to happen for quite some time now? I really have issues about modifying the existing bar, going with the GReddy 03+ Accord bar or the worst case scenario; running without a strut tower brace at all I tend to "rail" everything I drive pretty hard and understand the benefits of keeping the strut towers tied....it made a HUGE difference when I tied my old Fox platform 93 Mustang Cobra with subframe connectors, lower G-load brace and 3-point strut tower brace(granted it was a RWD'er but the skid pad force still applies regardless, if you flog the car regularly ). Since this is my first import FWD car, I want to do it all "right" the first time. Thanks again for everyone's help and advice on this matter.

For the record MichaelBenz....the TL will get an alignment as soon as the boingers get intalled....

The A-Spec lip kit was one of the easiest mod to put on. It took me and my buddy about 2 hours and a case of beer and before you know it, it's all done...

Looks like they only charge $3.95 handleing for shipment within the 48 states. Does anyone else know if this is really the case? Also they dont display Carbon Bronze Pearl in the dropdown of color choices, I wonder if I call to order if they will honor the $799.99 shipped?

Thanks for the "newsflash"..... never would have guessed that?

"2004-2008 Acura TL Body Kit (AcuraZine Group Buy, ends 5/10)"

Never a "pimp slap" emoticon when you need one.....LOL

On a serious note....I have no idea what the retail price is for the kit, but can't imagine it being too much more than the group buy price?

Although the GB says it ends 5-10, you can still pick it up for $799. I tried the Carbon Bronze and I was able to pick it

Thanks for the heads up.....although it was easier to talk myself "out of it" when the deal wasn't going on.... Oh well.....it was inevitable anyways.

Just go all a-spec... aspec body kit, aspec suspension, aspec wheels. Looks the best imo...

Yes, even though it says GB on it, you can still get it at that price.

And this is an accessory, comes factory painted...
