What fog light bulb on the 06 TL?

I know the 04-05 fog light bulb is 9006 and the 07+ I believe is H8. But where does the 06 fall? I'm assuming 9006 since Acura didn't seem to make any changes from 04-06 exterior wise. And are all the 07+ TL's H8 or just the Type S?

What is the benefit to swapping out the bulbs? I'm all for easy DIY things to enhance my TL but I'm not understanding thsi one. Is it just an easy bulb swap?

This could possibly be the dumbest question to ask but I am somewhat confused when you say fog lights is that the secondary lights on the car? Besides the H.I.D.'s? Excuse the ignorance Acura's are new to me.

New to me too buddy - Yeah Acura for some reason placed the fogs inside the headlight assembly. On the 4-5-& 6 I believe...........the switch is on the same stick used for the regular headlights

I don't know about the 07's but the 04's - 06's already have a yellowish look.

They only look yellowish next to the HIDs, but they are not yellow.

These are yellow:

Now when I have the fogs on, everything has a slight yellowish tint. Works wonders in the fog/rain. And the cool thing is that I stopped getting flashed when I installed these.

hold up, the reason why i'm interested in changing my fogs is because lighting while roads are wets at night. also to make them match with the low beams. until now, i thought that h.i.d. conversion to 4300k would be best. but do the yellow lights give better vision while roads are wet at night? and how would they compare to h.i.d. besides color?

Yeah, that's actually why I got them. With the stock fogs, I couldn't see crap in the dense fog, becuase the HIDs just reflected off the fog and my windshield just turned white. (I live on a hill, so there is a lot of fog around here in the winter)

With the yellow fogs, everything has a yellowish tint when it's clear. But when it's foggy out, the hids still glare off the fog, but the yellow light is able to cut through the fog enough that it reflects off the pavement enough that I don't have to slow down to 5mph to see where I'm going. (Too bad I can't turn on the fogs independently from the hids)

The pacific nw get's its fair shair of rain, so I was concerned with that too, since the main road going up the hill near my house is windy and unlit. I'm not sure if the yellow light makes a difference if the pavement is just wet, but when it really comes down, the yellow light doesn't reflect/glare off the raindrops as much.

hey guys, i'll jump in here to try and avoid starting a thread discussing something already touched on...

I just got an '07 and ordered some replacement fog lights. The kicker is that they're in the bumper unlike the 04-06 models.

Anyone know what is involved in changing them out?

I would like to know where you got your bulbs from and who they were by? I went on PIAAs site and couldn't find anything. I want to have that classic HID vs. Amber Yellow fog setup. Yours looks like that. Could you take a pic from about 10 ft away to get a full veiw. Thank you.
