When you go to the dealer for an oil change, what else do you get that is included?
Check tire pressure, refill windshield washer fluid?

 

free car wash? they'll check the air filter.. and i think they do a visual inspection as well as checking out other fluids - to sucker you in to getting it done right then.

 

The dealer I go to gives out a free car wash coupon. They don't do the car wash on premises. Even if they did I wouldn't let them.

I use the Rain-X washer fluid and I don't want them refilling it with another kind. I also have my tire pressure the way I like it.

 

lol so you were asking what dealers usually do, just so you can tell 'em not to do them?

just simply tell them not to do anything but the oil change.

btw, how is the rainx fluid working out for you? i have it in my car, but haven't used it yet.

I had times when I told them not to do something and they still do it. Like putting the dealer's license plate frame on my TL when I told them not to. I didn't even buy from them and they also managed to damage my car in the process.

The rainx fluid is great. I only use this now. Works really good in rain and snow.

 

They offer the car wash but I use Zaino, so I have to plea to them not to wash it. It was raining and they still wanted to wash it. ??? Plus I don't know what sort of "cleaning" methods they use. I swear its like talking to someone who only speaks Botchi. I'll have to check on the fluid levels.

 

Remember to ask for a new oil screw washer.. They're supposed to replace that but sometimes "forget" or don't on purpose...

 

I agree, I told them not to wash mine either, just vaccum the inside. If I let them wash my car, it would be almost certain that they would scratch it up and put swirl marks on it!

After what this car wash place did to my Mustang, I NEVER will let anyone wash my car again!
