Hi guys
I have a 06 tl and a while ago I took put what I now know is the Bypass air valve. It's on the left of the engine above the pcv valve.

My question is when I took it off I started turning the spiral plastic piece inside. And I put it back

By turning that piece did I mess up the valve and keep it too open or closed? It is electronic so idk if that messes it up. Here a picture of what I removed.

 

that solenoid is what opens the baffle on your intake manifold when you hit vtec I believe

which reminds me I need to take mine apart cuz mine isn't engaging properly

 

Is there a way to know if its functioning properly?

 

your engine light will come on and give you a code of p0137 I believe is the code.

 

Positive? that is a Bank 1 Post Cat Sensor Error Code.

 

Looks like a miniature part from a diecast model car....


hey, have you considered typing that part number on the part into google and seeing what the part actually is?

I'd do it but my eyes are small enough and anymore and i don't see anything.

 

p1078 = intake manifold runner high rpm malfunction.

This is what I meant to say.

That code has something to do with that mechanism that OP posted. Its not engaging the baffle on the inside of manifold. Its like its stuck closed and I can't figure out wtf is going on.
