What is better about the 05 TL

There has been alot of talk that the 05 TL is going to have more features and possibly a type S. Does any one know what it really is going to have?

I think there wont be any major changes, if any at all.

Expanded color / combination options will likely be the major change.

I'll bet they offer White Diamond Pearl with Ebony interior next year. That will piss me off!

I'll bet the fender and quarter panel lights will blink with the turn signals in 2005. That will piss me off.

I'll bet the stock tires will be better in 2005. That will piss me off.

I'll bet the side mirror controls get moved back onto the driver's door panel in 2005. That will piss me off.

I'll be there will be a pass-through from the center console to the cup holder for cell phone chargers. That will piss me off.

A-spec is already out.

Usually there are no changes in a 2nd year of a Honda model except for color choices.

But then again, maybe Acura/Honda will break tradition?

AWD in '06? Its physically possible but the RL will have to come out first for MY 05.

Honda CEO Fukui is on the record as saying that the '05 RL is NOT FWD

I have a very reliable source (an friend whose uncle has an ex-spouse that works for Honda) that has leaked a little about the '05 TL:

(1) Different color choices
(2) Navigation system update(s)
(3) Real wood and Carbon Fiber Trim instead of synthetics
(4) 6-Speed Automatic
(5) Totally Hands-Free Cruise Control (GPS guided)
(6) Weekly Winning Lottery Ticket dispenser (Optional) - I sure could have used that this week.
(7) Passenger-side NISM-TDC/MT* Driving Enhancement System (Optional)

Sorry - Apparently that option only comes on Buicks. And it looks like Tiger Woods (the Buick advertising sports figure) went for that option: Tiger Woods gets NSSM option.

Hey Ken,
You can't really say that Honda doesn't change in second model year becuase just look at the 99 to 00 TL. It went from 4 gears to five and also added side impact airbags, two things I am glad I waited for.

The 05 is not going to be a first year production car. Presumably, they'll have all the bugs worked out.

You forgot to mention:

A. Automatically flipping secondary license plates

B. Electronically controlled grease vat with nails releasable from underside of trunk

C. Passenger seat equipped with eject feature

D. Surface to air missles below headlights

All standard for '05

That is true but if you look at Honda's history, they USUALLY wait at least 2 model years before doing any changes like that.

In the case of the 99/00 TL update, that was rare (and a good thing!).
