What are the best beginner mods for under 1k?

I want some opinions from the TL community. I want to mod my car more but have a limited budget. I am probably getting NSX style tail lights soon. I already have a short ram intake and a custom exhaust. Paint is happening in the next few weeks once it stops raining in Utah. I also can't lower the car due to steep driveways.

This is what my car looks like now

Only you can determine what the best path forward is here. This is not a platform that "mods" well for the less funded individuals. You need to figure out if you want appearance or performance...or both....as well as knowing and planning properly for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. As others have stated, maintenance is probably the best bang for your buck here. At this point, these are quite old vehicles and lots of components are going to be past their prime. If you haven't already, get all of your fluids replaced, check/replace the various rubber suspension components, make sure the timing belt service is accounted for, make sure you have money set aside for a transmission....the list goes on and on when you own a 15+ year old vehicle.

I am mainly looking for appearance for now as I know there is not that much you can do to the 3.2 performance wise
The car is mechanically sound besides needing timing in 4000 miles. Although I should get said suspension work done.

Op only wants to mod. No maintenance ideas wanted.

My first mods on every car I’ve owned is lowering it and intake. I know you don’t want to lower it. So you’re basically done!

If you're looking for visual mods, start with a full led overhaul. Its dirt cheap but dramatically modernizes any vehicle. For the outside I'd recommend the iJDMs smoked LED sidemarkers. The 07-08 gauge cluster also looks significantly modern and clean compared to the 04-06, only problem is finding a cluster that has similar mileage.
