What the #%*#!!!!!

This only happens to me! I take so much care of my car and this had to happens to me now I was dropping off my lil sisters to school like every morning before I head out to work. Well this time it was different as I was heading to work I made a tight right turn into a curve which has a side walk sticking out kinda like an oval. It was a really tight turn and there was car on the other side I was doing about 25mph and BANG! This happens

http://yfrog.com/nt1mbogj
http://yfrog.com/oc7h7uej

I literally bounced of the curve and it thru me 20 ft to the opposite side. I luckily evade the car coming towards me but I was shitting myself. Well time to have them repainted again

Yeah I'm okay in the outside but I'm dieing in the inside I'm
Just happy I bounced off the curve and didn't go over it. That would've destroyed my car.

make sure to check your suspension components as well.

25mph to an abrupt stop can jar some stuff loose.

Probably not a bad idea to have the alignment checked as well.

Those rims look like 90% of the guys rims on this site lol. I swear I have never been on a car forum where I have seen so many rims that were completely destroyed. Then again I guess a lo9t of guys on this forum do live in the inner city where cars take a beating so thats part of it.
Sorry to see that happen to your car, but I would be happy it was just nthe wheels and no body damage.

Sorry to see that Angel. I did that to almost all 4 of my wheels. I finally broke down and had them all refinished.

Hey, in the lower right hand corner of each post, the middle icon is a multi-quote button. It allows you to respond to multiple people in a single reply/post. Give it a try!

Blame the school! Most schools here around a 100 mile radius are all closed today!

Sorry to hear though. Luckily nothing else was damaged, just the rims.

never mind the rims....sh!t my alignment! but really, that sucks. get your alignment checked...otherwise you'll have other expenses to deal with (like tires!). you can try the DIY curb rash fix and then repaint. it can only get better from here.

side note- noticed you've posted a lot of threads recently with stuff wrong with your car. really?!

I would save up and get type S rims for the spring and use those as winter beater rims. If you don't have the cash, I suggest jacking your car up on jack stands, removing the wheels, and taking paper towels with rubbing alcohol to clean them really well of brake dust and use plasti-dip on it.

25 is pretty fast for a tight turn and to bounce out 20 feet??? Thats a long ways .

If it bounced you that far I'd be checking suspension parts for bends etc. Just don't shrug it off .. If something breaks because of this who knows who you will kill.

Aggressive driving on the street will eventually kill/mame someone.

I'm sorry about your rim!!I don't like viewing threads like this! Then again it's a good quick little reality check for me. I have owned aftermarket rims for about 6 years now and have never curbed them! :knocks on wood:

I had the rims fixed yesterday morning :-) a friend did it for me. I'm at the Acura dealer right now, they're looking for anything that came lose with the Impacts. Also they're fixing my clutch master cylinder and a shatter on my passenger side side view mirror when I put it in reverse. Thanks ACURA VSC. lol
