Hi today when i left my son to school i locked my car normal i heard the beep and the lights turn on then i walked to the school door and when i came bach the alarm and the lights where flashing and sound , well i thought probabli some car hit me or something else but i checked the car and all was fine then i unlock the car the sound stop then came back home and when i tried to lock the car nothing happens no lights no sound no lock its not working but its just whit the lock because unlock its working fine , trunk open its fine the panic buttom its fine the problem its when i tried to locked could be the control o something else i change the remote batery and its fine its just the lock feature its not working at all any guesing?

When I came back, the alarm was going off and lights were flashing so I thought some car probably hit me or maybe something else but I checked the car and everything was fine. Then I unlocked the car, the sound stopped and so I came back home. When I tried to lock the car again nothing happened... no lights and no beep and the car didn't even lock (but it is only when I hit the lock button because the unlock button works fine, as well as the trunk open button and the panic button). I changed the battery in the remote and the lock button is still not working. Any idea what this could be?

 

I just read a thread in the last couple days about similar...could be water getting into the HFL unit through the moonroof weatherstripping...shorts out the system.

 

Maybe your battery is old...get that checked and replaced if necessary
