...thread. FWIW, I spoke to a Honda engineer today who is thinking about buying my '04, and he said "wait until you see what we have designed for '07". I asked for details and he said that Acura has really redesigned the front- and rear fascias, to make it more aggressive and "mean". (He said he is ineligible for the employee program for now, so that's why he is looking for used.)

He would not elaborate much more, but said to think along the lines of the 2G mid-model upgrade to the Type S for 2007.

Maybe this is old news, but I found it interesting.

Also, in inquiring about my car, he listed off all the common rattles and tire issues and asked if I had any of them.

Yow...Ronjon better be ready for a ton of body kit orders in the Fall of 06 then. We'll all be trying to freshen up our 'old' looking cars!

Hmmm....intriguing but not surprising. Many people are expecting this as it's Honda standard operating procedure.

 

Mine is a lease, so by that time i would trade it in for a newer one if all, or at least some of these rumors are true. I would also have ot consider other cars though, if anyhting much better comes out for the same price range, i'd get it - though i have been very happy with my TL, except for a few quality issues.

 

Tell your friend this '04 TL owner is about to take his in for the NINTH (9th) time in a year between 2 dealers for roof rattle issues and is getting completely fed up. Please have him PM me, I've got lots I can fill him in on.

do you know if the 06 will be any different, i hope so, i'll be getting an '06 for my 04

 

i love the new lexus IS if that would have came out around the time i bought my TL thats my car right there :-)

 

i would think that a face lift wold be in '06 (with the IS coming out and all) and a redesign in '08. am i totaly off?
