Does parking next to a white BMW or Lexus ever make you think you have an ugly cream colored TL?

 

No, can't say it does. On the other hand, I like the way our WHITE is compared to others like Ford, Chevy, etc.

Not at all. The pearl on the TL looks fantastic, however the other cars with pearl paint (eg Escalade) have the bumpers the same shade as the body unlike the TL.

WDP is purty, but Lexus' white paint is nicer. If my car ever needed a repaint, I'll be looking at that as an option.

 

+1 Wish I had an extra 800 dollars to paint my bumpers and mirrors....

 

I like WDP but like others have mentioned, the bumpers should match better. I do miss the white of my Acura Legend though...

 

this is what i'm talking about. Alpine white BMW's and Lexus White Pearl are much more rich than the TL white. i do like our color, but compared to those it's not as nice.

 

Hmm, I don't think I've parked next to a White BMW of Lexus...next time I go out I'll have to look for one

i think lexus 250 has 2 different whites. one kicks wdp's ass. one is an off white that looks too plain.

yes i feel like my bumpers is ugly, its like a pimple on my car, very embarassing! I hate talking about WDP, it makes me have car regret sometimes.

 

My A-spec underbody kit has helped with the appearance somewhat. To me, my dis-colored bumpers are not as noticable, as I'm looking at all the new flair instead.

 

Just got my bumpers painted here in the bronx @ a fine shop 1,200 $ ! Thats crazy but my bumper do match now .they sprayed the quater panels to blend it in. I love my wdp and there is no better choice in color for a tl. Im very happy with the work. U get what u pay for.

 

Then again, lexus and bmw white gets dirty easily..

You can see all the little dirt when its dirty since it's so white..

 

WDP looks a bit creamish due to the pearl effect of it, it was meant to look like this. However Lexus mixes a bit of blue into the white to make it appear a whole lot whiter.

BMW's Alpina White is nice, but being a sold color is a downside, no metallic flake nor any pearl...

Either way, WDP on the TL looks great, in fact almost any color the TL comes in looks great on it!

I park my TL-s next to my wife's BMW 550 everyday in our garage and yes hers is really white but I knew that our TLs were Diamond White Pearl and not just Alpine White like hers, both look nice but different....

 

I actually think the cream/pearly colors look nicer...more luxurious/expensive than just plain non metallic white.

 

To be very honest... When I park next to someone I never look at what kind of car it is. I look back at my car at least 3 times every time I walk away from it, and I never even glance at the cars next to it except to see if I'm parked within "door ding" range.

I love my car and everything it has done for me. I never sit and wonder if another car is better, because I just don't care about other cars. My TL is everything I need it to be.
