I have an 06 TL and I was getting the three lights, VSA, check engine, and the /!\ one. I have gotten the codes which are 83-1 ecm/pcm relation failure and p2138 which has to do with the APP sensor. Now I have replaced the app sensor about three months ago and everything was fine until today. So what is the ecm/pcm relation failure and how do I fix it?

 

i am currently having this same problem, and then last night about 2 hrs after i got all the codes the check light went off, i also got a 86-1 controller area network relation malfunction, i am gonna replace the app sensor today and see what happens.

 

Replace the APP sensor. Check the connections on each end. If 86-1 doesn't go away, you'll need the HDS or a high-end reader to clear it.

 

alright, now where can i get the app sensor at a good price? idk if i should go to advanced auto or online?
