When people describe their VIN nubers, say "in the 7000's" ... is it the last 4-6 digits in the Vin??

My would be like in the 30000 range???

 

You're actually referring to the serial number, which is the last six digits of the VIN. They are assigned sequentially at the factory, so if yours is 30000, for example, then you have the 30000th TL to roll off the line.

 

And to be so bummed Kittyky...there have been improvements since the first car rolled off the line. You wouldn't want one of the earliest numbers.

Do you know if Canadian TLs are in a separate sequence? The last six digits of mine start with 80.

 

That's about right. Mine just arrived at the dealer on friday and it is 33,9XX...
