USR sequential signal mirrors

Anyone using these signals from Unique Style Racing?

I've been out of the TL mods for a bit and noticed these recently. I'm a big fan of lighting upgrades so I might pick up a set soon

Video of them in action

Also saw these "laser"-style side markers which look new to the market... anyone here have them?

This style is a big hit on the C5 & C6 gen vettes so I may pick them up too

I have the USR turn signal mirror lens, easy to install, great fit, and no condensation issues since owning them for the past 6-7 months.

I have both on my car. Both have had no issues and look great on NBP paint. Just note, you need an adapter for the rear sidemarkers if you have a Type-S. It can also be purchased on eBay.

USR is still around!??! I was his prototype tester guy for his original blinking sidemarkers on my first TL...fishcake123 was his email address, don't ask me why I remember that as I'm going back 14 years now.
He is an awesome vendor and puts out a quality product, or at the very least...used to. If you like the look, I would go for it.

I wonder why they didn't go with a sequential option for the sidemarkers to match the side mirrors. Maybe too much sequential signaling?

Some of us also have sequential turn signals on our headlights. It would be kind of cool if you could wire the light pattern to go from the front to the back of the car in one motion. It would be unique to the TL

I have installed the "Laser" sidemarkers, they are extremely bright but also look very clean as the light goes to the edges. My only regret is not going for the smoked out ones, the white plastic sticks out in the sun. I would definitely recommend the smoked ones.
You can tell how bright the sidemarkers are by how they compare to the Xenon's lol. The photo is a but blurry but the light is emitted as a single thin line.

It's almost TOO bright.
Reminds me of the laser ones on the corvette by morimoto.

Funny, I found his amazon store and he's still using my pics of my latest TL that didn't have the products on it (he photoshopped them on)

c5 yeah. it's a tigershark rear fascia & those lower red lights were taken from a c7 and are used as running lights + turning signals. the reverse lights are white and surround the license plate

but back to the side markers, they make those same laser designs for both c5 & c6 and are extremely bright...

i am thinking that the ones for the TL will be just as crazy

Yeah, I tried looking into syncing them with turn signals. But I've found out that it alternates with the blinkers which I find just isn't clean and looks like christmas lights.
I bought my self some "smart relays" recently, hopefully I can figure out a way for them to sync them proper.

^ let me know if you figure out how. I don't mind the alternating effect as it keeps someone on the side of you from saying they missed your signal

Got the signal mirrors in tonight. Some install pics

Only one (1) torx 15 screw needs removing to get the factory marker out. Some YouTubers had taken 5-6 out in their vids.

Love 'em so far; recommended if you're a lighting-bug like me.

Couple misc pics how she looks now before the new laser side markers go in

Dude, I've never seen that rear end on a C5, very cool.
Funny, it looks like some crazy full custom body work but it's probably just a plastic cap.
I love these cars...yeah, I almost went with the corvette lights ones, I know there were at least 2 options but
since Morimoto started making the laser sides I just went ahead and bought them at the same time as the tails.

Side markers are nice! I had those headlights on my last TL and I ended up selling them...in some ways the simplicity of oem just
looks good to me as I get older.
Those tails are insanely nice though.

side mirror lights look good!
i may need to get a set myself, my passenger side mirror housing cracked awhile back and now the turn signal is yellowing and has condensation.
this could be a decent fix while upgrading the lighting as well.

as per the side marker lights, im not sure I will be a fan of the super bright ones.
i like the OEM lights on the type S as they are, they turn on and illuminate.
super bright ones might be obnoxious and look "cheap"

I like the new "laser-style" side markers a lot, but haven't purchased them because they aren't switchbacks.

I have USR's original smoked switchbacks on my TL. They glow white (6,000k) when the parking lights are on and then the front and rears blink amber and red respectively when the turn signal is engaged. I was really hoping that the side mirror turn signals would be switchbacks as well . I still purchased a set though lol.

Nice vette. Never seen that rear bumper before. I kind of like it. You have a thread and more info/pics for the vette?

Here's a fun little fact for you non type s guys that mainly just want the added flashing from the side without fucking with mirrors.
you can get a modifry side marker module (for the S2000) and it works with the TL just fine. It'll turn your front (or rear I guess) oem sidemarker
into a blinker.
...edit: just looked and it looks like he doesn't make them anymore

@jdmvette thanks brother, I actually used to drool over the C6Z when they came out, ESPECIALLY Atomic orange...
after selling my CTS-V Wagon a few years back I swore that one day I would have another LS powered but HAD to be manual...
buddy got one 2 years ago and I finally got around to it last June when I realized the prices on them started shooting up.
I actually visited the Corvette museum on a whim in 2020 and it kinda sealed the deal that I would one day be a Vette guy.

I sure hope they don't end up looking worse than my depo switchbacks...they arrived today and will be tonight's project

I have white switchback side markers but I really grew to dislike them glowing white shortly after they were put on. I ended up rewiring them to only glow amber and red....and then to blink like a Christmas tree at stop lights

I hang out on the Corvette forum a lot under the same username. Mostly here https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c5-general-103/

My car doesn't even look like what I posted in that pic any more. I've since changed the wheels, side mirrors, door handles, tail lights, 3rd brake light etc etc, it never ends

Yours is a ZR1, though right? That car was untouchable when it was out and was KING of that era.

Belated welcome to the Vette family; I have had mine for 20yrs this November.

Are you on the Corvette forum as well?

Thank you! No sir, it's just ZR1 front fenders...it's an LS7 with heads and cam...it was previously built fast in Texas (guessing by the AN fittings on the fuel tank, upgraded torque tube and axles)...
it's a hoot to drive! Thanks for the welcome, I am somewhat on those forums but not much like on here.

Oh my...
the sidemarkers, I'm with you on that. I'm telling you I LOVED them back in the day, the switching back etc...but in the end, I don't like how almost any of them look when off in sunlight during the day.
That was the problem I had with the vette ones too and why I went mori, it was the only ones that looked like they could be oem during the day.

It's interesting to hear you say that. I've had the smoked Depo switchbacks since 2016 (I think) and think they fit my car very nicely. I do have a Nighthawk Black Pearl TL so maybe that makes a difference. I've never once thought they looked out of place. In fact, I think the OEM ones stood out worse in my opinion and there was also no turn signal functionality.

Ps - I stumbled across this crazy product last night. It must be new. USR is offering an entire side mirror cover for 2004-05 models with the same sequential turn signal lenses. So, if there is anyone who's struggling to find 2007-08 mirrors in good shape, you can purchase these as an alternative. There's also an option for a puddle light, which is a neat feature:

Funny but I stumbled on his amazon listing for them and that's my car (most recent 04 nbp 6mt) that DIDN'T even have them.
What I didn't like is the non-uniform ability to see into the area where the LED sit rather than OEM being just one big reflector looking thing.
Just my personal taste but remember we're talking a decade ago, my taste has changed. on a Type s with blinking mirrors from factory I have
no desire.

I do like to amber vinyl wrap the fronts to match the headlight amber though...that I thought looked cool.

having the turn signals match the side markers is a nice feature....but not sure if its worth the money for such a simple upgrade...

I love iJDM products. I've used their halos/angel eyes in various headlight modifications and the light output is amazing.

Having the side markers match the turn signals is so intriguing. I just wish they were both switchbacks. I'm still hung up on that feature.

And yes, that does look like his car. It doesn't look like his garage tough and I can't tell if that WDP TL has banana Brembos or not.

I'm in the middle of installing them tonight. I really like how they look, not dazzlingly bright like the lasers on my c5 but more subdued. Possibly because the housings are black and not smoked like my depos were.

Speaking of the Depos, those were of a MUCH higher quality design than these are. Just look at the difference in connectors!

The factory male piece had to be shoehorned in due to the slop of the new piece's female end.

She's all set. I am very pleased with the final look of these side marker lights.

They are a POS in actual fit and finish on the side you don't see as mentioned above.

They would also not snap in very securely and I could pull them out pretty easily. I ended up using some foam behind the tensioner to force it to pop out more. This seemed to help keep the marker in place.

One final thing I wanted to share with you guys. The factory trunk lighting is terrible as we all know. I put some LED strip housings in there a few years ago and they are amazingly bright.

I just screwed the mounting clips into the liner and snapped the housings into the clips. The wiring simply ties into the original bulb location. They're pretty much flush with the top but you can knock them out of the clips if you're loading something tall. Got them on Amazon for pretty cheap.
