Morning everyone, I have searched and read many of the threads about cracked seat leather replacement. The only retailer that sells full replacement seat skins for the type-s that I could find is autocustomleathers.com, I tried katzkins and several others that have sets for base but not Type-S. I am quite close to pulling the trigger on the autocustomleathers.com set that others have used but just checking if anyone knows of other sets on the market or good condition used seats. The major challenge is finding them for Type-S and not base. I would like this thread to be an update on seat leather replacement options in 2020 since most of the threads I read were older. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately it ended up being a bit of a proceed at your own risk with some vendors. I used lseat.com for my Type S covers and had an ok experience but they messed up another member's order and I think he may still be dealing with that.

I know that https://www.theseatshop.com is another site that offers type s covers, a bit more expensive than others that I have seen.

 

Great information acvega thank you very much not sure how I missed that one in my search, I was getting mostly older links. Well I went with autocustomleather, a little wait is not a problem for me as long as it is a quality product. I will update the other thread with my results, thanks again.

 

Expect a 6-8 week delivery. They are slow but the product is very good.

 

Can confirm as I also posted in that thread, was a bit of an ordeal getting the product but the quality/match is great.

 

My next thing i gotta deal with is the lease return, i know the dealer will give me crap and try to pick on everything, buttttt the car looks like it just came out the showroom. I polished it my self every year and the interior is brand new, someone probably sat in the back seat maybe 3 times lol. Bmw say they can take the car back for me since it's the same umbrella company so i may just do that. The V6 aspec fully modded and flashed is a greatttttt car, it moves it feels like it has 320 HP and I will def miss it.....yeah the tranny can be a donkey sometimes but it did it's job. i don't know how the 10 speed will hold up with 355 HP going to it but if it's the same tranny with just beefed up parts it may have delays just like the RDX. I want to see how the 10speed does with the new mdx and the 3.5 V6. Just waiting for my build number so i can track the status of the car
