Type-S Lights (Aftermarket)?

So just purusing threw ebay for the past week I've noticed a huge increase of Type-s lights on. Also the price is really low, then I read all the adds.
"You are bidding on a new Left Side (DRIVER) Tailight that will fit the
04-07 ACURA TL S MODEL
Fit, function, and look are excellent. These lights were tested on the vehicle so the fit is like the originals. These are professionally manufactured by the leading aftermarket lighting company in the world. This is the best quality aftermarket part in the market today. Why pay over 140.00 + tax from the dealership when you can get the same part as a much lower price. Check out my feedback for quality assurance. These are DOT/SAE. These are guaranteed not to leak or allow moisture."
When did they start making aftermarket lenses......and couldn't we have them make some different looks? Ideas
By the way the cheapest I've found these is for $165 shipped for a pair, but the seller is allowing you to make a best offer

These are simply the TL-S version of the aftermarket base lights (which I'm sure you've seen, as well). Basically, companies make versions of lights for replacement purposes and charge less than the manufacturer (Honda) for them...similar to a generic version of a drug. Chances are, if you had your car in the body shop and didn't have OEM replacement coverage, you would get one of these generic lights because they are cheaper than buying an OEM light. And much like a generic drug, there probably is no difference between this and the "real" version.

there is a difference bro always a difference thats y its called aftermarket..... im sure the difference will be in color of the gunmetal and condensation on the inside of the light because something isnt going to fit 100%

That's not always true, though conventional wisdom sometime indicates "aftermarket" is not always better.
If that was the case, why do you guys do so many aftermarket mods... I'll tell ya why, you're buying into a brandname. Comptech, Tein, etc...
In many instances the source manufacturer of the "OEM" product is the same as the "aftermarket" provider. They're made in the same factory. The only difference is the stamp and the packaging.
DEPO is knowm quality supplier (OEM as well) to the German market segment. I have no doubt these are OEM quality.

you can get OEM Type S tails for about ~$8 more from our official vendor - www.hondacuraworld.com, and

I find that the aftermarket Taiwan made lenses are good, but they don't match OEM exactly.
So if you don't buy in pairs, they won't match. If you break one later, good luck finding a match.
