Type S light conversion

Hey guys. I'm looking into doing a Type S taillight conversion. I need to know if I need to buy new lamps, or can I just buy the taillight itself. I am getting this... http://www.hondacuraworld.com/Mercha...egory_Code=ATL

Please tell me your input.
I assume all I need to do is remove the rear bumper and unscrew the old taillights and do the reverse with the new ones?

You also have to switch out the LED board from your old housing to the new Type S ones.

I Just did this swap this past week and I was surprised to find that the dealer was cheaper for the lights. I ordered 08 Type S lights and got them for $75 a piece and thats Canadian. Don't know why it was so cheap but thats like better than half price by the time I convert and pay duty

Has anyone bought the rear side markers from that site. Because i would like to get them but there is no picture with it. Just wanted to make sure they are the type s ones and not the red ones. http://www.hondacuraworld.com/Mercha...egory_Code=ATL

I would have to guess that those side marker lights are probably base TL (red) ones. Usually they note if it is Type S or not.

Just my guess though.

It says right on the page

"Kit contains both side markers for 2007 TL-S for retrofitment to 2004-2006 models. "

I ordered this package http://www.hondacuraworld.com/Mercha...egory_Code=ATL like a year ago from there. No complaints, fast delivery.

Also if you do have any questions i would call him at the 800 number, just to make sure theres no problem in your part selection.

That's where I bought mine...

Also, you don't have to take the rear bumper off. Just take your time pulling the plastic rivots out and you can drop it down. Biggest PITA is the swapping of the led board and hardware and fishing the power wire through the plastic little conduit. I felt little I was playing that operation game...
