i did the same thing on my 2005 NBP. i purchased a type-s lip from a member here on AZ and i took it to my boys shop. i wish i was there to see the actual process. but from what he told me he did a placement test to see the areas that needed to be cut. honestly modifications need to be done to the bumper around the whole lower areas where the fog slots are.

if you really care about the bumpers lower part then i would think twice about it. but somebody like me that wanted to try it out and take the risk it was well worth it because i only spent money on the lip.

i think im going to take the chance haha i mean if i buy a new bumper im going to have to buy the grill and paint the bumper which will prob by like 700 buck.
i hope its just the lower grill that i need to cutt off

congratulations man!!!! I always wanted to do something like this but because i like the black chrome grille so much, I decided to just buy the 07 front bumper instead of modifying my 04 bumper... overall, good job!!!

Thanks

Any pics of where to cut it? I was thinking of doing the same mod. thanks. If you went with a 07 front bumper do you have to get a different center grill or can you reuse your 05' center grill.

here is the piece i cut off. I did the same with the right side also

AND yes you would have to get a new grill if you get the 07 bumper. The 07-08 grill is wider then the 04-06 or the other way around... haha

wow. so awesome looking. This is a big help for people who would like to do the same thing. I'm considering getting this as well. How did you spend on this setup? How much are the oem foglights? If you were to do it the right way and swap out the bumper to a 07-08 how much would the grill cost? I think this front bumper setup with a type s rear lip is hopefully my future setup.

In this picture is there a gap? or does it sit flush and line up perfectly within the shape of the wheelwell?

07-08 Front Bumper(not painted)=292.65
07-08 fog lights LH & RH=554.94
07-08 Fog light Housing LH&RH=47.60

Yeah it does look really good, just a shitty situation for me. I have a SSM and would have to get an ASM lip then repaint just costs to much.
