first question is, should i go turbo or supercharged on my tl? secondly does anyone know if a tl type s steering wheel with paddle shifters is compatible with a 2005 automatic tl? PLEASE HELP, oh and a third question does anyone know where i can get a carbon fiber engine cover for my 05 tl?

 

they dont make a turbo for our car...and only comptech makes a supercharger for our car!

 

that isn't necessarily true i can get one custom made by ics performance but can anyone please answer the two or all three questions? it would be much appreciated!!!!1

 

^^^not an expert here, but i think the problem with the turbo is the ECU. not sure though.

and believe me man, paddle shifters are a waste of money.

 

Well you might have a point not sure though but the paddle shifter come with the type s steering wheel which i like because it is three spoke versus four on mine now, that why i want to know if i can make them functional.... If anyonw knows please help

 

i think ive seen someone change their steering wheel from 04-06 to 07-08 but im not sure. try searching for it.

 

you have a base tl, not a type-s

some people would hate....like when i see type-s rims on an accord

 

wanna go fast? go with smaller car like a integra type R or at least gsr, lot of aftermarket performance parts, from turbo to supercharger. in addition, they are much lighter and easy to work with.

 

auto + supercharger on a base = no (ok maybe)

Turbo? good luck.
Supercharger = $3K

Type-S paddle shifters are possible, but a lot of work involved.
(and they are not comfortable at all, especially if you don't drive with two hands)

 

Hi NJ. Well refered to your question about the turbo or supercharger, I was investigating the same and I didnot find anyone who has been setting a turbo on a TL, but I found a lot of options to install the comptech supercharger.
About the paddle shifter, recently I brought a type S steering wheel with paddle shifters, but the problem is that the arnesses are pretty diferent, so what you are going to find is a big problem changing the arness, if you TL is under warranty, I don't suggest to make this change, but if don't is a good option. Once you understand how to make this change you just need to waste 8 hours, but you need to take off your car the passenger seat, the carpet and the console...
